We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary on a Saturday night at Oyster Bar. We started out with their always fresh, cold and crunchy, shrimp cocktail. We ordered a couple of ice cold Belvedere martinis with blue cheese olives to compliment the appetizer. Next we had a fantastic Caesar salad and a cup of their superb clam chowder. The salad... This is the only restaurant I recommend to out of town visitors. It is fancy or casual, steak or salad, bubbly water or premium red wine selection. Stay in to watch the amazing chef, or to go after a long board meeting. It is perfect.

The oyster bar is a small quaint establishment. Food and drinks are excellent. Service is outstanding. While the various oysters are great, the calamari is excellent as well.

I was in town for a convention and walked to the Oyster Bar from the Convention Center - a short distance. The restaurant is very charming, old and very narrow. Seats in the front and back [ you walk through the kitchen to access] but, I sat at the bar. I ordered a half dozen oysters which were huge and... More

Great place to eat, atmosphere is really nice and friendly. You can get all dressed up or wear jeans. Great staff, the back room accommodates young children and this was excellent as we were celebrating several birthdays. Will most definitely return in the very near future.

The Oyster Bar's history goes back to 1888 when it was first opened as a saloon. Although it has had many owners over the years, the old tavern's atmosphere remains largely unchanged. It is an intimate spot, not the place to take a huge group of people and always worth calling for a reservation. Whether you are coming for a... More

The Oyster Bar gives you a real feel for the past. The dining areas are a bit crowded but the food keeps bringing us back. Excellent seafood! If you can, ask for a table in the back room. It is more private and cozier!

We first ate at the Oyster Bar 19 years ago, when my husband was being recruited to join a Fort Wayne company. Today, it's still one of our favorites - in fact, I am going to make a reservation for next month to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It's great for special occasions as well as just sitting at the... More

This is known for seafood but since I don't like seafood I get the raspberry chicken. Very good! They have the best baked bread too. I'm friends with almost all the staff and got to say they all do a lovely job! :) A lot of regulars so obviously its a nice place to dine!

If you want a small restaurant with a lot of character and great food, you found it. If you want some privacy ask for the back room. Restaurant is small but the food is terrific. They even let you split two main dishes for a few dollars more.
