Nice bar with good good

Stopped in for lunch. I had the Black dog burger which was cooked to perfection. My wife had the paddy melt and said it was real good too. There is an extensive beer selection to choose from if you like trying different beers. Good food and service. Founders KBS Blueberry 2023 Imperial Stout · 11.2%. It was delicious.

Always great pizza’s, sandwiches, and reasonably priced drinks. Food comes out quick. Outdoor seating.Staff always friendly.

Great selection of beer and inside/outside dining. Big Ass Tenderloin was just that! Fish & Chips were light and tasty! Ceasar salad wasn’t anything to write home about but, it’s a bar with pub food! Pizza looked great and the hand breaded onion rings were good

Soooo disappointed

I don't live in my home state of Indiana anymore so whenever I visit, I search for Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches. My husband and I were driving from Indianapolis to Michigan and I was really looking forward to trying The Black Dog's sandwich so we veered off our route to specifically go to this restaurant. We walked in and the reception was a bit cold. We were told to sit anywhere and asked to sit outside. A table was cleared for us rather quickly and we ordered a beer and a rum and Coke. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. A lady joined a table next to ours 10 minutes after our waitress took our drink order and ordered a beer. She was brought her beer within a few minutes while we still didn't have our drinks. At that point we left. I hesitate to say this, as racial tension is at an all time high right now and it's so clichè to blame everything on racism, but I can't help but wonder if we weren't welcome because we are black. I HATE to wonder this, but we were to only black people there and they were not busy. Perhaps it was an off day, but as a person who's previously worked as a waitress and who's traveled extensively in this state, country and all over the world, I know when I'm not welcomed. So I left, extremely disappointed because I really wanted my husband, who grew up in Berlin, to experience Indiana's take on Weiner Schnitzel. I would give it a zero rating if that were an option.

Clipped by the wait staff

Food was decent however the waitress clipped me for a 30% tip, I guess she thought she needed more than us. So unless you have a credit card, have the Exact amount, or want to make a scene, don’t go to Black Dog Pub,

Disappointed. and post off

Was in today with my daghter. happend to fine a fort wayne rock the kind if you fine u post it and hide it againe for someone else to fine. I whent upto the bartender to cash in my winnings from pull tab she told me in front off customers "can I have to toys you stole" I said what toys the only thing I found was the fort wayne rock. I whent back to my table got them and gave them to her and told her this is what I found. U can have them. She then said oh no u can have it. I told her no thank you u accused me off stealing in front off customers. I dont want it. And left. Bad experience for my self and my daghter. Dont recommend at all. It embracing. I been upset ever since. Ended up having lunch at aj. Will never go back with friend or stop by to play tikets. So upset so many emotions that it this point I'm crying over it. They lost me as a costomer. I would spend as much as 600 700 on tikets. Bartender was rude from the time I walked in and asked for water. Very unprofessional. Waghting on the owner to return my call. Just wanted to take my desable daghter out for lunch. AT THIS POINT IM PIST OFF.

Looking for a new place to try pizza

We had friends of ours tell us about Black Dog Pub's pizza and how much they like it. We got a plain cheese and pepporoni for the grandkids and we had a meat lovers and everyone loved the pizza. We will definitely be going back.

GOOD VISIT - LARGE GROUP!

Our waitress was very attentive to this larger group. She came around often to make sure everything was OK. The food was good, especially just ordering appetizers as it was later in the evening.

Must have chosen a bad time.

We just stopped in here for drinks and we sat in the corner. It took forever for anyone to come and greet us and then took forever to get our drinks and bill. Not sure if we just picked a bad time or a bad table, but not sure if we will go back.

Awesome burgers

This is definitely the place to go if your in the mood for a good burger. They also are known for their huge breaded tenderloins. The wings and onion rings are pretty tasty too.

Just finished visiting and eating here at the Black Dog Pub, it is not a large restaurant there were only about 8 booths and 3or4 tables that seat four people in the main dining area there is a bar area as well but I did not see how many people could be seated in there. Service was good but in my opinion under staffed only one server for dining area and one for bar so that was slow for getting food out. The food I did order was hot delicious and cooked as I ordered it. The price was reasonable as well so all this combined is why I’ve given this place three stars

Entering and seeing only one empty table, told us that others thought the food was great. Both my husband and I decided to order the half rack rib entree. As sides, I chose a baked potato and Cole slaw. My husband also chose a baked potato with a tossed salad. Our salads came first. My husband’s tossed slaw was in a metal bowl. It was big and fresh. My Cole slaw which was in a sauce dish was very creamy. Stacy, our waitress, did a great job keeping my iced water and my husband’s Pepsi filled. When our ribs and potato came, they were steamy hot. Our ribs were so tender that the meat fell off their bones. We will be back.

Stopped here for lunch 2 days in a row. The food was pretty good. The French dip was yummy as was the nachos Grande. The pizza didn't have a ton of toppings for what you paid for it. The atmosphere was casual. I'm sure we'll be back.

Ok Lunch

We stopped in for lunch. My wife had tge tenderloin sandwich, and I had a grinder. She liked her tenderloin, which was big enough to take half of it home for later. My grinder was ok. I've had better at other places in town. The waitress wasnt the friendliest lady. Could've been a bad day, maybe shes always like that, I dont know. Would I go out of my way to eat/drink here? No. Would I stop in for a bite to eat and a couple beers, if already in the area? Yeah, maybe.

Worth the wait

Tiny little pub you wouldn't think much of from the outside. It's busy and packed but the beer is great. Our server knew her stuff and was able to give good, competent recommendations and the fish and chips were amazing and I've been to England. All the food that night was delicious. We went for our anniversary and it did not disappoint.
