This is an icon, my parents came here when they were kids, I've come here with my own kids. I never miss going here at least once, more if I can fit it in when I visit Ft. Wayne. The atmosphere is laid back but the food is EXCEPTIONAL. The taste takes me back to childhood every time. It's fantastic.... More

As a NY'er I love hot dogs. I get that midwesterners do it different and they love this place. Chili was listed as award winning. Was quite underwhelmed. Saving grace was the Coney dog. Very small but had nice flavor. Place has been around since dawn of time and locals love it! Prices were excellent so I give it props... More

This is a national landmark. Old fashioned coneys, fries and little coke bottles. This place gets ridiculously busy. I love it. You can park in back and walk thru the kitchen into the dining room. If you like coneys, its a must!

While the establishment itself could ward you off, if you simply don't go because of that, you are truly missing out on fantastic hotdogs!

Fort Wayne at its best. Simple, tasteful and straightforward. Great service, good food and great atmosphere. Historical building with a rich family feel. Three dogs, bag of chips and two bottles of coke.....doesn't get any better. My first visit was in 1964.... and now my children go. Generation after generation enjoying the food.

You would not think that a hot dog would be that good but as far as hotdogs go this place has some of the best. This place has been serving hotdogs since 1914.

My dad started taking me here in 1946 and he started in 1930 when he moved to Fort Wayne, Ind. Hands down this is the BEST hot dog on the planet and also has an award winning chili. There motto is " our buns are steamed" Their décor has not been updated much since the 1940's. Newer equipment and replaced... More

Maybe we had too high expectations for Fort Wayne's number 1 restaurant on Trip Advisor, but we found that the food was average at best. We did like the diner's style, ambiance, and cheap prices, but I don't quite understand why this place takes the number 1 spot. Surely Fort Wayne has something better?

First of all, I'm from Jackson, Michigan where coneys are a way of life. Coneys there are different from the Detroit, Flint, and Kalamazoo coneys, but they were ALL conceived by Macedonians about 100 years ago and we appreciate them all, even though we swear by our favorites (Virginia Coney Island, please, but only if Tommy Dogs aren't available...) So... More
