To celebrate my birthday- I decided to splurge by inviting my wife and daughter to Peterson’s. I had several individuals recommend this fine dining location - but wasn’t sure what the buzz was about. After our experience- the buzz can be described in one word:...BEEF ! Peterson’s has one of the best sources of top steaks & filets. I had the 14 oz filet ($68). I ordered it medium & the entire center was rare. I sent it back & it came perfectly prepared with slight pink. If you order a filet - you might clarify what their various manners of preparation indicate (Rare, Medium, Well etc) to meet your expectations. The filet was super yummy 😋 I paid an additional $8 to be smothered in mushrooms. They were thinly sliced, sautéed and delicious. My wife throughly enjoyed her salad: LOCAL ARTISAN GREENS Fresh Berries, Cream Cheese Wontons, Candied Pecans, Maple-Mint Vinaigrette ($12) She inhaled it and loved every healthy bite. ❤️ My daughter truly enjoyed the ROASTED BEET SALAD Red & Yellow Beets, Mixed Greens, Haricots Verts, Oranges, Pistachios, Goat’s Cheese Crème, Tarragon Vinaigrette ($12) Those were the best parts of our Peterson’s dining experience. The challenges we experienced however, dampened our desire to return. These concerns included: - SEATING- Tight seating in booths - we were unintentionally kicking each other under the table. Ouch 😣 - AMBIANCE- less than welcoming. Seemed cold & drab versus warm & inviting. - STAFFING- our server went from being friendly to too familiar. She indicated she was fairly new to Peterson’s & seemed to hover near our table more than necessary 😔 - OTHER FOOD SELECTIONS #SCALLOPED AU GRATIN POTATOES- Family Recipe Crispy Applewood Smoked Bacon while tasty - they were dried out & poorly prepared & presented. ($12) #GREEN BEANS - were undercooked & poorly seasoned. #DESSERTS- not impressive. ~DOUBLE CHOCOLATE OREO BROWNIE Chocolate & Caramel Sauces, Vanilla Ice Cream ($14) *brownie was dried out (not moist) but ice cream was creamy & delicious. ~CHEF’S BREAD PUDDING Rotating, seasonal selection ($12) * The Salted Carmel ice cream was incredible. The actual bread pudding was not meeting our expectations. It simply missed the mark for us - but you might enjoy it. SUMMARY While we did eat every bite & was blessed by the FREE BIRTHDAY DESSERT, we were somewhat disappointed with Peterson’s. The $225 price tag (we purchased no drinks) was somewhat pricey for our budget. We might have visited them when they weren’t at their best 😔 Hopefully they can continue to strive to bring the very best in dining experience for the Fishers community. I would humbly recommend they retrain their staff and consider adjusting booth seating configurations. Maybe bring some more dessert options.More
We were in the area for a family gathering and we were fortunate to secure a reservation for dinner at Petersons. Very happy with the ambience, service and food quality. Top notch. I ordered the lobster tempura fingers, 8 oz center cut fillet with horseradish...bacon crust, king crab mac & cheese and oreo brownie with ice cream. My wife had a special baked flounder (not on the menu), lobster bisque soup and creme brulee. We did not regret any of our menu choices. We are looking forward to our next trip to Fishers, IN and another evening at Petersons.More
We traveled from St. Louis,MO to Fishers, IN for my fiance birthday. We initially booked another reservation at a fine dining restaurant downtown Indianapolis but had to cancel due to holiday events restrictioning access. We found Peterson's and couldn't have been more pleased. First, the...hostess was so nice when we arrived. She said we would have the pleasure of being served by Coy. He is wonderful she said. Now wonderful was an understatement. Coy arrived at our table and served us like we were royalty. No exaggeration. He was so attentive, recommended our dining options as we had never been to Peterson's before. From start to finish top notch service. He even took pictures for us. Now. I was so pleased with the service I forgot to take pictures of the food. Lol. I had salmon and my hubby to be had a seared chicken. We shared mashed potatoes and broccolini. We had shrimp cocktail and liquor cocktails. Lol. All served to perfection. Dessert. The most creamy lushous piece of cheesecake I've ever tasted. We left and it was truly a birthday to remember. If you visit Peterson's definitely ask for Coy. You won't be disappointed.More
We’ve eaten wonderful meals all over the world, and this is one of our top 5 ever. Delicious food, outstanding wine list, exceptional service (ask for Tom, he sets the bar for all waiters we’ve ever experienced) and a wonderful environment.
Was in town for personal business and decided to check out Peterson's. They were having a special as part of the Devour Indy summerfest. My wife ordered the chicken breast and I had the salmon. Was quite tasty. Service was superb. Highly recommended...
We chose Peterson's Steakhouse to celebrate our son's graduation from medical school. We could not have made a better choice. Our server, Kevin, was excellent...very attentive, had a great sense of humor, and made terrific recommendations. The Cowboy Ribeye was the best ever. Thank you...for a wonderful experience.More
First visit and we will be back! The food was all excellent and well prepared! Our server was Coy and he went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great! Try the prime egg rolls unique and good!
Every aspect of the meal we had for our 7th anniversary was simply top notch!!! Amazing lamb shank, incredible pork chop, free champagne for our special night, and our waiter was as good as it gets! Coy is a master of his craft, and he...was the perfect combination of attentive, engaging, and possessed a keen eye for knowing when we simply wanted to eat and enjoy each other's company. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, and we would give it TEN out of five stars if we could!! GO PETERSON'SMore
Nice setting Not good food Went twice in a row because of local business Dishes are expo and not good High end steaks are not good Sides are average We do not recommend
My favorite restaurant in Fishers. The atmosphere is opulent, the staff is very friendly and the food is awesome!! I celebrated my birthday there with my closest friends and everyone was impressed. We will be back again soon.
We've now celebrated 3 of our wedding anniversaries at Peterson's. There was actually a couple sitting next to our table who were celebrating their 50th. We will definitely be back again this year for our next celebration of love.
Excellent food and service. Food took a little longer than expected (maybe because the care and preparation?). Still would highly recommend.
Time well spent with family. Service was good and attentive. Classic steakhouse dishes, steaks were cooked perfectly however a few of my family members were not thrilled with having a la carte steaks served with a sauce on the steak and on plate. Perhaps this...is something they missed on menu or it is a signature presentation. Carpaccio was yummy but needed a touch more acid on the arugula. My scallops were cooked perfectly, presentation was beautiful but I did not like the apples with the scallops and the mushroom risotto was on the much drier side. Scallops are sweet enough and do not need a complementing fruit IMO. We had several side dishes, brussel sprouts were overdone to a burnt bitterness, asparagus was cooked perfect and hollandaise was on point. Chocolate Pate for desert was the highlight of my evening! I think a bread pudding would be a perfect addition to the menu. 😉 This is white linen and $$$. For what we paid PP, I wished it had met our expectations from what we read or heard.More
Prime rib was tender, but extra fatty and tasteless. Everyone at the table had over cooked steaks and prime rib. Server was good. Bar choices were mediocre and selections you can get anywhere. Certainly not what you would expect from a high end restaurant. Overall...an ok evening out, but definitely not worth the price.More
