Can't go wrong with this menu. The ribs, the chicken tenders, the reuben, the sauerkraut are awesome. The beers are off the charts. The waitstaff is the best in town!!!!!??

Gerst is one of my family's favorite places to go for dinner. The large menu has something for everyone. The beef stroganoff is excellent as is the many different sausages. The smoked pork chop is always great as well. Great draft selection as well.

I real treat to visit with friends and family. In the atmosphere set in an old hardware store from the 19th century, the high ceilings and old time architecture a great place. Old German/Bavarian foods and a stroll up West Franklin St. afterwards is a nice escape.

Food was wonderful but if they just had a few fans on the patio then they flies would not be as bad. Catfish, oysters only, and bratwurst were definitely a good choice. Nice selection of beer!

You would think this place only had German food but it has quite a variety of foods. My friend absolutely loves the fried oysters! I had a Reuben sandwich and it was good also. I had a Cobb salad one time and it wasn't anything special. They have a large variety of draught beer with a large selection of local... More

If you don't like crowds Sunday evening is a great time to go. The menu had a lot to choose from including American food. The place is inviting with nostalgic decor and friendly staff. Food was flavorful, hot and plenty.

Great food, the kraut balls are always a great starter. The Reuben sandwich is a favorite. If the weather is nice there is an option to sit outside on the side of the building.

This was my 2nd time here. I love the atmosphere in this restaurant. The old wood bar is great. The beer here is good and there are lots of things to choose from on the menu. I'm not a huge fan of German food, but the smoked pork chop is awesome. I recommend it.

Very wide ranging menu....German favorites or American staples. Portions are large. Wide selection of craft and German draft beer as well as bottles. The servers are friendly and engaging. This is a great place to take friends and family. Try the ribs....they are secretly very good.
