I have grown up in the area and I have always taken friends and family to the Log Inn. Everyone is always amazed by the n ostalgiac decorations and interesting atmosphere. This last visit I have to say was by far the best experience we have EVER had. I attended a rehearsal dinner of 25 and everything was better than... More

A must stop if you like delicious food and great service. We were in town visiting our grandson and were looking for a non-chain restaurant in the Evansville area with unique food. We found what we were looking for (located about 12 miles north of Evansville, and just north of I-64 on US -24 .. and just about a mile... More

Log Inn is noted for originally being a stage coach stop. The cabin still stands and is part of the larger existing building. If you want family style with all the fixing they require three people. Each person gets a choice of fried chicken, ham steak, or beef strips plus bowls of homemade coleslaw, corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy... More

Very good food. Nice for large parties so you can make reservations. Family Style is great for parties of more than two. Refills on all vegetables. Meats served are huge portions. The chicken and the ham are our favorites. Make sure you check out the history of the building. The waitress by the name of Patty is the best ever!... More

First, the restaurant features family-style serving for parties of three or more. We shared a room with such a party (baby shower), and they seemed to have great food and a great time, but we were only two, so we ordered a la carte. The fried chicken is old-school excellent, rolls were fresh-baked and delicious, baked potatoes were wrapped in... More

They do family style here but you can still order off the menu. We go for the fried chicken. Very good. We have tried other items but still come back for the chicken.

My family and I went to the Log Inn for my fathers 70th birthday it was a table of 19. Most all of us had fried chicken with a few eating the roast beef. This is very hot, very fresh food and a lot of it.. All the sides are served "family style" and shared amongst the table and were... More

After you are seated by a lovely young woman named Rita, you will no longer wonder why you had to wait a short time for a table. This has to be the best home cooked food in the Midwest. Anyone in the area can tell you about it and they keep coming back. The history of the place doesn't hurt... More

The oldest restaurant around very close to I64 mile marker 25 head north and take first right to eat family style in the same place as Abe Lincoln ate in the 1800's. The food is good the nostalgia through the roof.

I love the Log Inn. Great place to eat and also wonderful history. If you go be sure and check out the pictures scattered around. The family meals are just like Mom cooked. Desserts are wonderful!
