First visit, but will definitely be back. My husband had the club sandwich ("one of the best" he's ever had) with steak fries, and I had a tuna melt with onion rings; all were very good. Friendly, attentive service even though they were pretty full up. Just a very nice, small town restaurant - the kind we love to find.... More

When in a small town, watch where the locals eat. If you follow them into Fredrick's Café you will not be disappointed. Friendly service, wonderful food, and fair prices. This is the type of Mom 'n Pop restaurant this nation needs more of. No wimpy little overpriced entrees here and their breakfast omelets are belly busters. Good coffee, biscuits, and... More

We were very hungry and tired otherwise we would not have stayed. The place was dirty and the service was bad. It took us about fifteen minutes before anyone brought us a menu. Then it took forever for them to bring our order which was just soup and sandiwich. To top it off our waitress never refilled our drinks.

The portions were large. Service was average but friendly. Food good. I had the BLT. I asked for toasted bread but it was barely toasted.

We enjoyed the small town atmosphere. The grilled cheese and homemade chili were excellent. The burgers/fries were average. Would go back for the grilled cheese and chili!

I've eaten at other restaurants where people rave about their fried fish like Tommy Pass's in Jtown and Mike Linnig's in Shively and for my money, Frederick's Friday special for $8.50 is much better. The Alaskan Cod is dipped in a light corn meal and fried fresh. The six pieces come to the table fresh out of the grease hot... More

Went there for breakfast and the food is great and so are the people. You get a large serving of food. I highly recommend this place.

If you want a..... well, just a great country, real food breakfast, with really good people around you, walk in and eat to your hearts content. "Nothing fancy" and that's what makes it so good. We eat here a couple times a month. If it wasn't good, bleave me, I wouldn't eat the food.

Not the best place I have ever eaten, but the food is always Hot and fresh. The staff is very nice and helpful. Kind of cramped inside with not a lot of bigger places for larger parties. Was not a fan of the Breakfast Gravy, but the all meat Omlet was very good.

We stopped in just after noon hoping to order breakfast items, but they had stopped serving breakfast. Not sure what time they switch from breakfast to lunch, but no problem because the sandwiches we ordered, a tuna melt and a turkey sandwich, we're both delicious! The homemade wheat bread was fresh, soft and delicious. The fillings, my turkey and Swiss... More
