Great place for gyros

Great place for gyros. They have a huge amount of meat that isn't overly salty or greasy. The pita is fresh as were the veggies. The only issue for me was they were a little skimpy on the sauce (considering the amount of meat). We found this place on a Fall Tuesday night when most places around were closed. It was a welcome find and though not as tasty as Gyros in the closer Chicago area, they were great (and much less greasy and salty)

Decent food, but not the very best gyros

George's is a place for a very good meal; however, if you're a gyros fan, stick with King Gyros. The gyros at George's are tasty and well prepared, but by comparison, they're a tad small, and you really never know what you're going to get in tomatoes. The last time we at there, the tomatoes were green (??). If you get a side of fries, they are quite generous. Overall, it's a good meal.

It was delicious! One of the best gyros I have ever had. My family tried the grilled chicken and Italian sub and said they were very good also.

Way to expensive for a hot dog stand

Tried this place again after being away for a few years and they didn’t disappoint. Gyro doesn’t taste like gyro at all and at almost 17 dollars it’s ridiculously priced. The whole reason I quit going in the first place was the price. When I double checked the prices with the super smart kid at the window his answer was yeah it’s the right price it’s called inflation lol what a joke. Then after you leave a bad review and they tell you to call them or Facebook them they actually block you from their social media and website. Seriously people stay far away from this place. I’ve had better food at a high school football game and it’s cheaper.

Prices here have always been expensive, but now they are unbelievablely expensive. The fries suck, I mean for a hotdog place usually the best menu items are the fries and dogs, the hot dogs are good, but the fries are bad. Sure they give free food to the kids on Halloween, but that passes on to your pocket. I will no longer go there, king gyros or a trip to Chicago and even with gas I'll still save money. The gyros here are ok, but just that and at $15 for a gyro plate, you can do a lot better. I don't usually write reviews, but take your credit card if you are paying and not dining alone.

Found this out-of-the-way spot, recommended by a local. Food was excellent, and the portion was more than enough. Took it back to my campground and devoured (most of) it, quite happily.

Terrific local spot

Recommended by the campground where I was staying. Excellent choice. The staff recommended the #5 ("That's what everybody gets") and it didn't disappoint. More than enough to fill a hungry stomach.

You won’t leave hungry!! We had the gyro and fries platter....huge portions!! Best gyro we’ve ever had!! Nice staff, clean surroundings and super fast service! We will definitely be coming back when we’re in town! Definitely worth the stop!!

Best Gyros in the region

Great classic Gyros

Great little eatery in Chesterton! Quick & friendly service, generous portions and excellent gyros & fries! Very conveniently located with minutes of hotels & Indiana Dunes State Park.

Great for Fast food

You have to realize that the food here is meant to be of the fast food variety, however, the speed and diligence of getting out anything on the menu is terrific. And it just isn't hamburgers and hot dogs (which you can get here). You can get gyros, Italian beef, chicken sandwiches, pork tenderloin and more. If your order comes with french fries you get a huge portion! It is a favorite of locals and there is a reason why! The owner is also very generous with the community which typically helps kids everywhere. So if you want a good fast food experience and are tired of the standard McDonald's, Burger King, Arby's fare, this is a great place to break the cycle!!
