Very nice for the occasion. Everyone enjoyed the food selections. There was something for everyone. I had the prime rib and it was cooked perfect for me and with great flavor. The party was seated upstairs in an area that was very cramped. I am not sure if the family went over the requested seating or if the restaurant did... More

Great local restaurant with a lot of charm. Great Irish food! World's smallest bathroom stalls. Have been for several going away parties, friend's birthdays. Always a great time!

I'm saying reasonable lunch prices here because I did not look at the dinner menu. This is a really nice comfortable place. There is plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside. We had bangers and it was a large size serving of 2 sausages, potatoes and cabbage (they have lots of things but I'm an Irish food type... More

I had a perfectly cooked lamb burger, and the coddle was a standout. Fun place, with a broad menu, I can't imagine not being able to find something to suit your tastes here. Good service, nice old woodwork (and a lot of stairs.) Check this place out, if you find yourself in downtown Bloomington.

The service and quality of food are both high. The cost is modest and the taxidermy interior is interesting.

How lovely to walk upon this at IU and it still be there with all of its stately elegance. Patio outside is terrific; inside is untouched. Most of the menu seemed untouched and everything was hot and tasty. I would say that if you're under 21 (one of us was), be prepared to be relegated upstairs. Not as pretty for... More

We stopped to eat there after a day out on Lake Monroe. The building is very unique , with lots of nooks & crannies. It was a holiday weekend, and it seemed like some event in town, but we were seated right away. (We did prefer outdoor seating, but that was full) I am not a big fan of Irish... More

We choose this restaurant and bar because of the reviews and because we have visited Ireland and love it. When you walk in this downtown bar the first thing you see is a beautiful wooden bar, then you hear the Irish music being tastefully played in the background. The Guinness was smooth and served warm.like in Ireland. The fish and... More

After doing a 10 km walk, a group of us went there after recommendation and it was marvelous. They had a wide variety of Sunday brunch menus and beverages to ponder. Several of us got the smoke salmon eggs Benedict and it was just fabulous. And had good flavor, was cooked exactly correctly, and service was good. It did take... More

I have not yet traveled to Ireland, but I imagine that the Irish Lion nearly captures the look and feel of an Irish restaurant and pub. Our waitress, Cat, took excellent care of us. The ambiance is perfect and the food was wonderful. The corned beef and cabbage stew was a delightful appetizer and the leg of lamb was delicious.
