Really good brisket mixed in and 2 over easy eggs to go with. Had some of my wife's egg sandwich which was good and American style potatoes

We had an enjoyable breakfast in the downstairs of this popular spot. We all enjoyed our meals. The hot chocolate was splendid.

The Runcible Spoon has been in Bloomington as long as I can remember, and that is a LONG time. It's two blocks from Kirkwood Avenue where most everything happens downtown, but the atmosphere is quiet and cerebral.

Stopped by on my Saturday night sampling of Bloomington cuisine. Decided on the medallions partnered with the house Pinot Noir. The pairing worked very well. The medallions had a nice peppery twinge to them. The accompanying vegetables and mashed potatoes worked well together. The service was a bit more spotty for as lightly attended as the restaurant was, but I... More

Had our first breakfast at Runcible Spoon this week. We found the food to be very good, and the service to be top notch. There are patio tables in front and back of the restaurant, and no wait to be seated on this (Tuesday) morning - we were told to look around and find the table we would like, which... More

I stopped in town to visit friends mostly who don't know one another. I had 3 separate meetings, and to a man, when trying to determine where to meet, each one said, "Have you heard of Runcible Spoon?" By the third person, I had to laugh. But it really is a great place to eat, especially for breakfast. The homemade... More

Everything was awesome, from the service, food and speed - you cannot go wrong here! The blueberry pancakes were amazing and the eggs benedict was perfect. Enjoy this hometown good cooking!

They recently changed their menu. It's below average now. Service was very slow. Food is marginal to say the least. My family has been there over 10 times and I think today may have been the last. We had a party of 6 waited for 45 minutes about no one liked their food. Eggs, bacon, toast for $9.75 hard to... More

Dinning at the Runcible is a unique and unhurried experience. Their breakfasts are truly noteworthy! Delicious blueberry wheat pancakes with butter, maple syrup, and whipped cream, great coffee, and country bacon for those who partake. Other fare is equally tempting.

The inside atmosphere is quite unique. Outside is situated in a cute garden. Small tables. Food was just okay. I ordered scrambled eggs, and they were pretty gross. Husband got an omelette and it looked much better. I did not try it.
