The Runcible Spoon has great tasting and fresh food. Extensive selection of beer and the best breakfast in Bloomington This eclectic establishment provides great service and wonderful ambience! Inside and outside seating is your preference. I highly recommend The Runcible for a cold beer and tasty food!

This restaurant is known for its outstanding breakfasts. The corned beef hash is the best ever. Eggs Benedict is highly recommended and while you are there, make sure you have a pitcher of Mimosas. The pancakes are light and fluffy. Don't miss this place when in Bloomington and visiting IU.

I've been to Runcible Spoon several times, though this is my first review. Breakfast is excellent, their alternative natural food for lunch pleases me a lot, and sitting outside for a hot cup of coffee can be relaxing and inspirational while trying to write an open setting for a novel or short story. It's not only the menu and the... More

On a recent trip to Bloomington my husband and I had breakfast here. We sat on the outside patio which was nice. I had a mint cappuccino, which was just okay. It was very sweet, and did not have a lot of espresso flavor so I was slightly disappointed. I had a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, it was... More

We had a great breakfast experience. What a cool place. There was a limited menu on the 4th but there were many options that were fantastic!

I went here with some friends for lunch and it was fantastic. It is just off downtown Bloomington in a little converted house. We all got something different and really enjoyed each dish. The gypsy chicken is awesome! You get a lot of food for what you pay. Highly recommend this place.

Everything from the coffee to the eggs is fantastic. It has been around for years and the exterior is inviting and unimposing. A place like no other in Bloomington.

We had a lovely breakfast from a creative menu and plenty of coffee and a chai tea latte. We had eggs/bagel/salmon with hollandaise; an omelet with salsa, cheese, avocado and spinach; and one huge chocolate chip pancake and one equally big banana pancake. The server seemed to love her job. There is outdoor seating although we opted to eat indoors.... More

This is a great place to start your day in Bloomington. Came here with several friends and everyone had a great experience. Breakfast choices are very tasty, and reasonably priced. Took the recommendation of the waitress and it was great.
