Sandwiches are big. Lots of fries. Good and filling but service is rather slow. It was 12:45 and very few people in the restaurant. Yet food took a long time to come. Definitely not a place to go to if you are on a lunch break. Many choices on the board. Will definitely go with friends when we have time... More

Scholars Inn has been around for a long time. It used to be the place that we'd go for upscale meals in a quieter atmosphere. In the past 5 years or so, the quality of the food has decreased a little. It's still a decent restaurant; it's just that the menu seems a little tired, and at times it's over... More

The cupcakes and baked goods were wonderful and hard to choose just a few. The breakfast sandwiches are also wonderful as well as their selection of baked breads. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the wine & beer selection but will on our next trip.

I was recently visiting Bloomington with my niece and we stopped in for a bite after viewing the Art on the Square fair. I had always remembered wonderful sandwiches when they were located in Indianapolis, but then came gluten intolerance. So, instead of the 'go to' for bread, I tried a turkey salad. There was a small 'glob' of deli... More

I was completely disappointed by Scholar Inn Restaurant. Sites in a beautiful old Victorian house, the restaurant has so much opportunity to give guests a memoriable visit, yet it was completely reverse. The food was OK, I ordered a curry dish, which was neither traditional nor modern. It was just "blah" , designed for those who cannot take curry. So,... More

Good quality egg dishes and pastries; coffee, including espresso drinks available. Consistent, popular. Both this and the 3rd Street site are worth a trip.

This informal spot is just right for lunch. Good bread, slightly different sandwiches. No room for the wonderful looking desserts.l

This place is really good on Wednesday since they have good promotion for burger day. I go to this place mostly on Wed and order burger and coffee and that is under $10. I really recommend.

Excellent place to go. One of the top 5 restaurants in Bloomington. Had the baked bree and spring rolls, perfect! Have a good beer, wine and cocktail selection. Parking lot behind the place. Some outdoor dining. Make a reservation! Try the Indiana duck!

I have eaten at Scholar's Inn in Indianapolis, and it was very good. I was disappointed to find the SI Bakehouse just average. My eggs were overdone, and the fried potatoes seemed to have come out of a bag. Good enough food. Just not special.
