Huge portions of food, great hibachi, and sushi tastes fresh. We drive an hour to eat here every few months.

Fun and yummy food. The employees were all very nice. Interior and Exterior are not renovated making it not for a nice dinner. Would still recommend for a dinner with friends.
We tried Sushi and Steak. It is fun to watch the cook working on the grill but he over cooked our steak.
I've been to quite a few Hibachi restaurants and this by far didn't hold up. The inside was a dump. Carpets were sticky, the waitress was nice but you could tell she was struggling. She took our order, 2 in our party had allergies where...they have to cook in the back and not on the hibachi. The hibachi chef who cooked for us was good but not social at all. He was kind of in his own world. We had a big party that was supposed to sit together when we made the reservation. When we got to the restaurant they couldn't do it so we had two separate tables. Our order was taken and they started cooking before they took the other tables orders. Our food started to be served, the waitress said the 2 in our parties who had allergies and would be cooked in the back would be out shortly. Fast forward to everyone at our table, minus the two with allergies, were finishing up eating, then the other table they started to cook and in the middle of them eating their food at the other day the waitress comes out to our 2 with allergies and said sorry there was a mix up in the back and we are going to give you a to go box for your meals. Not an offer or explanation. Very sad experience for our work function. We won't be coming back.More
Wife and I love Asian food but have never tried sushi. We tonight that all changed. Being a little adventurous and with the help of the lady at check in,we tried some crab meat in a sushi roll mixed with yasambi? Stuff and it was...excellent. Next time back will try more!!!! Also this place has places where chiefs prepare food and throw it at you. Just kidding!!!More
We were traveling from out of town and found this Japanese restaurant on Yelp. Hibachi is one of our favorites and we have tried many different places all over the world. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the friendly hostess who promptly seated...us. The decor was nice and restaurant was very clean. The soup and salad were good and they are very generous with their salad dressing which is a bonus! The fried rice was delicious. Everything we had was packed with flavor. Prices were reasonable and we had a box of food to take home. The only downside is that I don't live in the area and won't be able to enjoy this place again any time soon. If you are on the fence about eating at this restaurant, I promise you will not be disappointed!More
My family and I go to this place at least twice a month. We go there to eat hibachi where they cook our food in front of us. It is very cool experience. We always ask for Chef Andy. He is very entertaining and kind....He makes the food personalize to you. You feel very comfortable. The food is tasty and the place is clean. It is not crowded every time we go. The only downside is sometimes when we go on Saturdays for lunch they give us the dinner menu which is more expensive. They claim that it is a holiday weekend.More
Very friendly staff.. counter girl was pleasant and polite when she gave me a take out menu, nice when she informed she needed to step away from the register while I looked over the menu. It was nice I was allowed to sit at the...sushi bar while I waited for me order.. very good price..More
There are several sushi places in Bloomington. This is one of my favorite ones. In fact I eat here at least once a month or so. The Hibachi dinners are good my kids like then. I however always come for sushi and I get several...rolls at a time. It is always good and is a good value for what you get. This is not over the top fancy like some places in L.A. or Chicago. Just good sushi at a good price. Service here is always top rate.More
Whether you are in a hurry or want to slow down and have some good sushi in Bloomington I think you owe it to yourself to go to Domo. It is quick and the people are delightful and humble. The sushi is perfectly prepared with...no frills! I have been here many times and have enjoyed it each and every time. Easy in and easy out just of 37.More
Dinner at Domo is really pretty low key and chilled out, except when the chefs make fire touch the ceiling. It's exciting, then. Hibachi grills are fun to watch food be prepared on, and the staff here seems like they have it together. Everything tasted...great and it was prepared as ordered. It was more food per person than a wise person would try to eat all at once, so of course I ate all of it. Sooo good. I'd go back in a minute.More
When we got there at 6pm, we were the only people in the whole restaurant, which is not a great sign. The hibachi dinners were good. I ordered a kitchen meal and it was so-so. The service was overattentive, but that was because no one...else was there.More
My wife and I took my grandparents out to eat at this place recently and I'll admit the food was good as was the atmosphere until the show was over. We decided to dine in at the hibachi grill area where they cook the food...in front of you and put on a nice show. As we were finishing our food and immediately after we'd paid the owner of the restaurant approached us and told us we were going to have to pick up our plates and move to another table inside the bar area of the restaurant so she could make room for new guests at the hibachi grill. My grandpa had just had some cancer removed from his tongue and was eating a bit slow but absolutely nothing out of the normal. This lady was incredibly rude and ruined our time. We will never visit again and would not advise anyone else to either unless you want your meal to be timed and come to an abrupt hault! What a joke, the only reason I gave it 2 stars is that the food was decent. Nothing extraordinary but decent.More
I took my fiancé here on Feb 13th and made reservations. The reservation were incorrectly recorded so they gave our spot away. Then when we finally did get a spot around the grill , it took FOREVER to even get drinks. The food is cooked...for the bar and given out in portions, I was on the end of the bar and by the time the cook got to me I had a $20 plate of rice and nothing else. No veggies, no chicken. I was so feed up with everything and hungry I ate my rice and left. I will never return .More
Let me state immediately: I have virtually no experience with hibachi style restaurants, and so have no good way to judge this place against others of the same type. My judgement is purely as a person hungry for dinner. Domo specializes in the thing where...the chef stands before you and does amazing things with knives and spatulas and food and cooks your dinner before your eyes, with some tricks and stunts included. I'm going to skip intricate descriptions of all the courses and the show, although if you love an erupting onion volcano, they do a pretty good one here. This is my final analysis: I loved loved loved the chicken cooked for me by the chef--the flavor was extremely good, and cooked perfectly. The long list of courses and servings that came before the lovely chicken---ehh. Soup, salad, rice, noodles, vegetables all served in the hour before the chicken hit the plate. There is a load o' chow, if that matters to you. I am a Philistine, I know-- lacking in aesthetic refinement, and with common ideas and tastes. I just keep thinking that had I been served the part that tasted so good sooner, I'd have enjoyed the whole thing more. As it was, I was just exhausted.More
