We like Mother Bear's, but liked this pizza better. This is a doughy pizza, not thin crust, more like pan pizza. The toppings were plentiful with lots to choose from including some interesting combinations. My son likes the cream and crimson, we also ordered the Justa Fad but we all preferred the cream and crimson. We ordered and picked it... More

This place has the best cheese bread. Pizza is pretty good, they forgot to slice our pizza but not a big deal

Visiting our son in Bloomington, he recommended Aver's Pizza. And he highly recommended the Cream & Crimson specialty. We ordered that and a deluxe. Both were delicious! We had it delivered and it arrived in about 30 minutes.

They call this pan pizza in Indiana but it really is pizza bread. If you like thick crust and average amount of topping then it is okay. If you like a Chicago style pizza you will be disappointed.

Avers pizza is usually take out or delivery- the dine in area is not impressive. The pizza is very good, not gourmet, but as good as it gets for delivery. Some of the unique pizzas are strange flavor combos and won't go over well for everyone. The Popeye vs. Dracula is probably the pizza I see most often requested by... More

Mother Bear's doesn't have anything on Aver's. Their specialty pizza's are to die for, we always order Cream and Crimson, Beckon Desire, and Popeye vs. Dracula. The lunch buffet at their east side location is a great way to try their specialty pizza's!

I go here exclusively for two pizzas: Cuban Black Bean and Popeye vs. Dracula. I'm sure their other specialty pizzas are good but these are too good for me to try anything else. The price is a little higher than other places in Bloomington but their food is much better!

They do have some original pizzas. Not bad. Over priced. Really just fast food quality. There are better options in Bloomington for the price.

This is hands down the best pizza I've ever eaten to this day! It's expensive, but it's worth every penny. In my opinion, it puts places like Pizza Hut to shame. If you're ever visiting the Bloomington area, and you're a fan of pizza, give Aver's a try. I would highly recommend this pizza place to anyone.

Okay, that's a stretch, but for vegetable toppings. original ingredients and crust, this award-winning kitchen makes a great variety of pies. Yes, even as a Purdue guy living in Bloomington I would wolf down a pizza called the Cream and Crimson (gorgonzola cheese and red potatoes, who'd figure?). Not cheap, but it's real gourmet and they're always thinking of new... More
