The whole experience—casual, fun ambiance; efficient and much-improved service; and scrumptious pies—makes Bucceto’s a contender for Indiana’s best pizza restaurant, let alone a definite best in the city. I’ve eaten here hundreds of times, but most recently I ordered takeout as part of a dine and donate fundraiser for the elementary school at which I teach. The food was delicious as always. Contrary to my very old, previous review, the service is wonderful. Bloomington locals and visitors: it’s a no-brainer to spend your money here on pizza/pasta/calzones/etc. Support local and support delish!

Excellent Italian restaurant

A really wonderful Italian restaurant. Ingredients very fresh, perfectly prepared. I had the linguine with white Clam sauce - wonderful. Plenty of clam meat, garlic, and the linguine was cooked al dente, again just perfect. A healthy size house salad accompanied the pasta, and a nice garlic-cheese bread as well. Pleasant service too. Often in Italian restaurants the dishes are pre-made and nuked when ordered. That was clearly not the case here - this was made when ordered, and tasted it.

Good Italian dishes and nice service

This is my second visit and both times I have been impressed with the food and service. The Chicken Bada Bing calzone was very delicious. I sat on the patio and my server didn't know I was here. I only waited maybe 5 minutes, but she comped my drink for the wait. I wouldn't have thought anything about it because it wasn't very long, but was so impressed that she proactively offered to make sure I was satisfied.

We had 2 large pizzas carry out. They were good, plenty of toppings, specialty pizza and margarita pizza. Just not much seasoning or taste tho. Price was bit high. Probably will try other pizzas in town next time

Good, but hard crust

The food was good overall, but the pizza crust was hard. Also, they didn't wear their masks properly (the staff) and the cooks/servers were joking around unprofessionally while I waited.

Typical American Style Pizza

Good service and really nice place. Quite popular with the local university students. Be prepared for really big pizzas. They do have some gluten free options. Nice.

We love this place

They have one of the best pizza's in town. The Margarita pizza is one the my wife and I love and it is our go to option. For a switch I will also go with their "campfire." They have a great local feel and they are a huge supporter of Indiana Athletics. It is fun to see the posters on the wall of the team's schedules with the occasional local Bloomington athlete playing. Another great bonus is that during the Christmas season, they offer a gift card special where you can buy gift cards at a discount.

Huge Portions and Good Food

This was my second visit to this restaurant. The waiter was very attentive. A salad comes with the entrees and it is very large and then I got the excellent rosemary cream chicken and it is a huge serving. I was offered a to go box, but since I was staying in a hotel I couldn't take advantage of it.

My boyfriend and I have been customers for several years and this is hands down the best pizza in Bloomington! Their Sweet Lil' Razorback pizza is absolutely delicious! We occasionally split the Mega Abundant salad and it's the perfect sized appetizer. The greens are always crisp, fresh, and tasty. Their buttermilk herb ranch dressing is a must try!

The Ultimate Warrior ans Sweet Lil Razorback satisfied the table, as well as two orders if Bruschetta! A fair wine selection - both reds and whites, and a good beer selection - domestics and microbrews. Kid friendly, and our young server was outstanding.

Best pizza ever

We have had a lot of good homemade pizza, but I can honestly say this was the best we have ever had. The crust is definitely homemade, they use very little sauce (which is great for those who can't tolerate red sauce very well), the cheese was not imitation so it was not super greasy, the crust is a thinner hand-tossed style. It was very, very good. Yes, the prices are a little high but you can tell the ingredients are very high quality. We also had some salads and they were amazing. Their homemade house Dijon was so good. I had the spring mix salad with dark leafy greens, crumbled blue cheese, pecans, dried cranberries and the homemade Dijon dressing. It was so good. We found this on Trip Advisor and wanted to try something different. We are so glad we stopped and we will be back for sure.

Had a coupon from a recent IU game thought I'd try Buccetos for the first time. Younger man at register was pleasant while he mentioned he was new and learning the system. Working in the hospitality industry I get it! When I returned to pick up my pizza the female manager like person on duty was rude and degrading to this gentleman stating " so go get her pizza" . Not best training practices :( hope the pizza taste good when I get home

pizza mediocre, pasta bad

The place was empty when we walked in, which should have been an indication to walk out. I have eaten at the sister restaurant in Columbus several times, and always got fairly good food - not great, not bad - but I have never ordered the pasta. My husband had linguine with clam sauce. The linguine was tasteless, the sauce was water and some olive oil, the clams were tiny and few and made him sick. Wouldn't go back.
