This was a nice change of pace while visiting my daughter in Bloomington. We shared several dishes, tapas style, and we found them all to be delicious. I would have loved to know ahead of time that this was a BYOB restaurant, because a glass of wine would have been perfect with this meal. We will definitely go again.

The only place in town where you can sit on rugs, turkish style. No wine list but bringing in your own bottle is fine. Generous portions, extensive menu, nice variety of food. We've traveled in Turkey; this is not as good as fresh turkish food but it's close.

We love Turkuaz! The food is really delicious, probably the best Turkish food I've had including restaurants in major cities. Complimentary lentil soup is really tasty and sets a generous tone. The establishment itself is charming and feels warm and friendly, proprietor clearly invested in providing fantastic dining in a very personal way. This is a small and unique place,... More

Our first trip for an anniversary dinner although I've passed it for years and followed the trip advisor ratings to visit. Loved the babaganoush on puffed pastry. My husband had the Lamb Turkuaz kabob (which is like a stew). Very moist and flavorful I had a combo pide that was flaky, hot and yummy. The red lentil soup was outstanding... More

Good flow of appetizers after we sat down, but then it took quite a while for our main entrees to arrive. Generally everything was good, but my asparagus pide was way cheesier than I expected, almost like a basic American grilled cheese sandwich, and a little hard to find the asparagus! The baklava was tasty, but way too dribbly, with... More

One of my favorite places in btown! the atmosohere is great- I love the little space in the restaurant they created for people who want to sit on the carpet and eat on low tables, like tradition is. The food is excellent!

This was the most amazing experience. We got to sit on the floor at a lap table and it was so amazing and relaxing. The food was amazing and very tasty!

We went here because we had not tried Turkish food before. When we got there it seemed like it would be a tranquil atmosphere. We had options of sitting at a table or on pillowy floor, in what i presume was traditional Turkish style. Unfortunately, there was a group of college age people who were extremely loud and cussing like... More

I love the food they serve and their Baklava is the best you'll ever have! We are never bored of going to this place, no matter how many times we've been there. It's always our top choice whenever our friends visit Bloomington. I like the zucchini appetizer (Mucver I guess).

I still love this place. I do not go every week like I once did but I always enjoy the food and the hot tea. I took a friend today and it was his first time. He enjoyed the chicken pide. I always enjoy the sense of lagniappe one gets from the soup and salads being a free add on.... More
