We finally tried Big Fish and we are so happy we did. It's expensive for a local place but worth it for a nice dinner. My husband's steak was flavorful and tender, my cioppino had a delicious broth and great mix of seafood. The carrot cake we brought home was amazing and huge! Don't forget to try the white sangria... The little Gem of a Restaurant sits off the beaten path about an hour south of Chicago, 2 miles or so off I-55 at exit 240 (Lorenzo Road exit). Being off the path, I bet most people miss this place, but let me tell you, it's worth the side trip. The restaurant sits at the junction of the Kankakee and... More

Decent food, overpriced. I was not all that impressed, The folks that told me to go here apparently don't get out much. Nice inside off the the river nice views, decent drinks, again overpriced for what it is I think. What is considered as fine dining in the Wilmington IL area.

Came here for my birthday dinner on the recommendation of a Co-worker. I'm not sure what the vibe is like in the summer, but today it was very casual. Don't let the white tables fool you. We had apps of lobster skewers and cajun shrimp. Loved the latter. She had prawns which were heavily breaded and I had the New... More

Had calamari and a smoked salmon pasta dish. Very good. Wish location had a better view of the water. VERY difficult to find. Needs better signage.

U must stop here if u have a bigger budget. The atmosphere inside the restraunt is cozy and elegant. Good for anniversary dinners or other special gathering. The food is really good ,but u must expect to pay $25 to $50 a person.

A great dessert topped off a great meal. Chicken gumbo and jambalaya were flavorful and spicy and satisfyingly filling. A few months back I rated a tall strawberry cake. This carrot cake is the Empire State Building by comparison. Take a look at the quarter and iPhone5 to get a sense of scale. This carrot cake will feed 6 people... More

Okay but not what I had expected. We were a pretty large group, had reservations, but they were not prepared for us. Reviews at our table were mixed. The consensus was not to return. I believe that pretty much says it all.

We visited Big Fish Grille in February for dinner and had a good dinner so wanted to give them another try. So we drove out 6/25 for an early dinner. There was no room in the dining room so we were seated in the bar area. My wife was recommended the Hebi fish plate and I went with a NY... More
