Louie's has been a mainstay of Waukegan for longer than I have been alive. The food is and always has been excellent as well as consistent. The prices are reasonable. If you like Italian, from pizza to pasta give this place a go.

Restaurant is slightly off the beaten path and a throw back to another era. The food is wonderful, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is one of a kind. Don't let the entry way and appearance deter you from dining here

Went here prior to seeing a show at the Genesee theatre. The location is good as it is only about 10 minutes from the theater and in a section of town with beautiful unique homes. There is great variety on the menu but it is more of a bar with tables rather then a formal restaurant. The main dining area... More

The other night my wife and I felt like going out but was tired of the chain restaurants we've been going to lately. We called our Son and had his family join us a Louie's. They placed us in the back room where they could accommodate our party of 6 comfortably. We are somewhat vocal so it was a great... More

We went to Waukegan because it is the birthplace of Jack Benny. If you're over 55 you'll know who he was, If you're not, possibly you don't. In any case before we left home we consulted TripAdvisor to find a nice restaurant there. Louie's was very highly rated so we tried it. The food and service were very very good,... More

I work a few blocks from louie's and order quite often. Its a small little restaurant with a full bar. The breadsticks they bring to the table are to die for. Their clam chowder is one of the best I've ever had. Their french fires are crinkle cut and fried to perfection. Everything I've tried is delicious. From fired chicken... More

You start salivating as soon as you enter the door. Has never disappointed! They also can produce a naturally gluten free meal.. Their French fries are cooked in a dedicated cooker.
