My wife and I drove to Simons for dinner on Sunday. I ordered the SUNDAY SPECIAL "Pot Roast". When the order arrived I was confused and asked the waitress why I received sliced Roast Beef when I ordered the Pot Roast? The reply was that...was the way the chef sliced his pot roast!
What, really that is not pot roast? The boss walked by and I asked him the same question and his reply was that the chef makes it in a triangle? What is that, treated me like I was an idiot! Not: I am sorry or with covid I ran out of Pot roast or I will remove it from the check or can I offer a free dessert, NOTHING, just that is our Chefs way?
Well I am sorry that is not pot roast and more importantly I was made to be to feel like a victim! I was scammed, haha. Then when we paid the bill his only comment was "what are going to do this evening"? I told him go out and get some food.
He snickered over his face mask that not over his nose ad gave me receipt.
WOW never again will I eat here and neither should you !!!!!More
This place has been around for a while and I’ve always meant to try it. I did this morning and it lived up to my expectations.
It was a breakfast trip and the place was not too busy for a weekday. The restaurant is clean...and well decorated. Very warm interior and inviting.
Eggs, sausage, toast and hash browns were hot and delicious. The portion size was big but not too big. Fresh squeezed orange juice hit the spot.
The true gem was the server, Barb. Very friendly and attentive with a great attitude and was a gem to meet.
This place was great. Definitely a must stop if you’re in the area.More
We just happened on Simon's. It is well appointed, clean, with good prices and excellent food. I had a Strawberry Crepes. Excellent flavor with fresh strawberries!
The sausage was just right with spices. Shout out to Christina! Excellent server who aimed to please with frequent...asking if all was well.More
My husband and I found Simons one day while waiting for a doctor's appointment. I'm a very picky eater. The fresh orange juice is always fantastic. The Denver's omelet is hands down the best I have ever had. The Greek toast is always fresh and...toasted to perfection. They give you a preserve of I believe raspberry and its amazing. The coffee is off the charts. I normally would have a half a cup, but Simon's coffee is so good. That I have two or three cups and sometimes take one to go. We live all the way in Hampshire and drive all the way just for the breakfast. I told my husband I would move just to be closer to Simon's. Not only is the good outstanding. The owner and staff are always super friendly and service is always top notch.More
OK. It’s OK. I had higher expectations after reading a bunch of reviews here on TA, so maybe I was a little bit disappointed.
I had the two eggs w/corned beef hash and pancakes instead of toast. The eggs were ordered over easy. The eggs...seemed a little over-done—and so was the CB hash (it came with a hard burned crust layer). But I get that sometimes and the flavor trumps the appearance. In this case, the overwhelming impression that I got was “bland.” Even the pancakes were just so-so. Finally, when I put one of the creamers into my coffee it didn’t smoothly disperse into the coffee. There were a few small clumps (which usually means the creamer is too old—at least that’s what I see at home when my Half-and-Half is shot).
Portion size was fine. The server was also nice. But considering the so-so prep / flavor, I can’t say that prices made it a great deal.More
Met with family at Simons recently. We’ve been here before for lunch and enjoyed it.
Menu selection is huge. I chose the ham & cheddar omelette, which was hot and delicious. My bro had the French Toast and took some home. Others had pancakes or...crepes, which they enjoyed. Our waitress was patient and friendly. Highly recommend Simons!More
