On the way to Starved Rock and found this little place on Trip Advisor. Seated quick by a very nice waitress. She mentioned the special was a fried cod Po Boy...that sounded great. She was back in a few minutes with a fresh roll with two large, crisp pieces of fried cod topped with three pieces of bacon and American... More

Love the appetizers! Huge portions of the cauliflower and mushrooms! I've had their sandwiches, salads and steak dinner and all we excellent. The wait staff was friendly and helpful and the food was timed perfectly.

Our food was out in no time and was yummy. It was fresh and cooked well. There was plenty of good choices to pick from.

Made us some nice cocktails and brought our salads and bread right out. We sat by the window at a seat for 2 and the main part of the dining area is super dark. We enjoyed watching people pass by and the evening light coming in. Entrees were... ribeye with broccoli spears. Meat was under seasoned and veggie was slightly... More

We came to Utica to stay at the Grand Bear Resort and wanted a nice taste of the local cuisine, so we tried Canal Port. The service was phenomenal! Our waiter was very attentive and nice and the food came out quickly. They had a great selection of craft beers on tap. The food was unbelievable! The colossal shrimp and... More

I had a great experience this week end at Canal Port. My husband and I sat at the bar to start, and found the bartender (owner) to be quite awesome. She was very knowledgable about drinks and directed us in the right direction on what to order for dinner. The food and service were perfect. The place was very clean,... More

We were in the area visiting Starved Rock Park and decided to try Utica for dinner. The downtown is about 3 blocks long with mostly bars. Since we couldn’t access TripAdvisor, had to gamble a bit. It was a good choice. The Canal Port is also a bar, but a fairly classy one, with a row of tables across from... More

My husband and I were passing through Utica and decided to stop for a bite to eat. We have never been to Canal Port and chose to give it a try. Fun place filled with White Sox memorabilia. White Sox game was also on TV. We sat at a table in the bar, but there is a casual dining room.... More

Beautiful day...bad experience. The bartender who happened to be the owner was not very friendly. She complained about her staff while tending bar. Never even tried to make conversation. Place was dead...every other bat/restaurant was on a wait. Won't go back!

This is a little Pub that has the most AMAZING food. Anytime I visit starved rock I stop here to eat lunch. I had fish and Chips and yes it did come in paper. also there clam chowder is out of this world. Keep up the good work. I highly recommend this place.
