The cafe at Strawberry Fields looks inviting and has the possibility of being a great cafe attached to a local organic food store, but the food choices are not great, nor do they seem fresh and the presentation of them is unappealing and just not displayed in a way that makes one want to eat them. They do not make... More

This place has potential. There are a few hot dishes from which to select. We had the lunch plate with rice and two middle eastern style stews. Strangely, it seemed very cafeteria- like; food did not have good flavor. I decided to supplement my meal with a Samosa from the deli counter. It was cold! I brought it back up... More

Good breads and fun place to browse and meet friends. Good selection of organic canned goods especially beans. Great help if you have a minor worry about health If you have any real issues they will tell you.

All I can say is they need to train the barista. The espresso was watery and the foam on my capuccino was in large bubbles.

you can find organic versions of a wide variety of products; including detergent, shampoo, honey, nuts, etc. even though it is a little expensive, it is nice to find organic products in a walking distance from urbana downtown.

I go there to get gluten free products and a treat or two from the lovely bakery. Their food is still more expensive than anywhere else I have seen. They seem to go my the recommended retailer price and nothing more, the odd item has a few cents knocked off the price. They have such a large selection though. A... More

Biggest choice of frozen and deli health foods in town but over-priced. Staff is helpful.

Strawberry Fields has some things that are hard to find elsewhere. My favorite things are their selection of bulk dried fruit and nuts, and their makeup (they sell a great, non-chalky mineral foundation that I just love). Their bakery bread is also very good.

Not a lot of variety in their cafe besides pastries but their sandwiches are good.

Would love to know the real story behind this situation: The cafe always had people coming and going, and the food was interesting, often vegetarian/vegan, and delicious. The coffee bar was really good too- best coffee drinks in town. It was a 'go to' meeting space- great place to meet folks, get a cuppa or interesting food item, and then... More
