Aslak, the owner, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and gave us great traveling tips. The food, prepared, cooked and presented by chef Jacob, was completely stunning. We had the reindeer with accompanying purees and bread....the taste was amazing and the cost very reasonable. The location...is beyond my descriptive skills.....just to say that it looked straight out over the Barents Sea and to the North Pole. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Thanks Aslak and Jacob for an emotional gastronomic experience. Best wishes, Tony and Michele (from England and in the dark grey Adria campervan!!)More

We visited Arctic View at the recommendation of a local who said ‘the setting is more dramatic than Nordkapp and there is a cafe too’. The setting is truly spectacular and after taking it in for ages, decided to grab a coffee in what we...expected to be a cafeteria. Instead we were met by Jakob, the chef, waiter and dish washer at Arctic View (only 2 people work there and the other wasn’t in at the time!) who spent time to tell us about the place, why he as a Dane was there and then cooked us a fabulous reindeer steak. Excellent food in an awe inspiring setting- fabulous.More

Restaurant with good food and a small souvenir shop. Highly recommend the reindeer from the menu, it's the best food I've ever tasted of reindeer.

Went to Arctic View tonight as I though it would be a good way to finish my Norway trip. Was I wrong! I was excited to try some local food and to sit in their scenic dining room. I left disappointed, frustrated and hungry. After...telling us to sit where ever we would like, the waiter never paid us any attention. He was checking on his other tables, taking order of people who came in after us and never look at us to tell us he was coming soon. Surprising since we were unable to miss, sitting alone at the end of a long table. We finally ended up walking out.More

A very nice and special location to enjoy beautiful Arctic views and have a very good prepared sandwich meanwhile. The desserts are homemade, very tasty. The staff is very kind and helpful. The arrival may be a bit complicated, you have to follow the signs...and sometimes it seems they may be missing, but it is worth it.More

The view is amazing, never mind if the sun is shining or the ocean is hiding behind big grey clouds. But we really came for the food. Locally produced food, and some of the best Norway has to offer. We still regret that we didn't...order a dessert each - I seriously think that was the best ice cream I ever had. Too good to share. We were met with great hospitality - even got the pleasure of being able to order in German. It was the third time I took the trip out there and I never got disappointed. You are amazed by the nature and the beauty on the way every time and the reward of a lovely meal after a long drive is a bonus. Highly recommended and if you ever are in doubt as to if you should drive up to the North Cape or to Havøysund - the choice is easy.More

I've had very few experiences as special as this. Driving through fog seeming almost endless and emerging at this small building, only to be met with the most incredible hospitality in an incredibly cosy environment. The food was spectacular, incredibly fresh and delightfully cooked, all...fresh and to order, prepared carefully and delicately. Our "lunch trip" turned into a delightful afternoons stayMore

Despite the view was not on the menu (cause of heavy fog), delicious food, friendly people and great atmosphere was found. Would love to come back!
