Upon entrance you can watch the tortillas being made. Though the food is still geared "mild" for most, I like mine hot and spicy but the menu offers a variety of choices. The guacamole was made fresh at our table. We tried fajitas, chile relleno, taco salad and some other items all were served hot, fresh and delicious. Service was... More

Taxco is an upper-level Mexican restaurant with a great many menu items. Good and service are both excellent. Prices a bit high. We like this place, and we go for special occasions.

Taxco has yummy food! The freshly made to order guacamole is the best. The tacos and the fajitas all great. All the orders include chips and salsa. They also deliver.

The food and atmosphere at Taxco is wonderful. A variety of traditional entrees as well as some unique recipes. Have to have their guacamole which is made right at your table. Margaritas to die for.

We decided to bypass some Mexican restaurants in the Fox River Valley, to eat at Taxco. We know the food is always consistent and good. We had ordered the Nacho Grande with chicken, to share. In addition we had their table side prepped guacamole. (She accepts tips). Their house margaritas are very good. We the order is placed, we always... More

We always enjoy Taxco. Love the "pimp" my margarita option. It is so much fun creating your own flavors. The chicken tacos are great and I love this dish with steak, peppers, onions and cheese. Sorry I can't remember the name of it. Every time we are in Sycamore visiting family, we try to make the time to stop by... More

This place was fun and affordable, and I really liked the open windows! Being from San Diego, I have been in search of a place that had authentic Mexican cuisine, and I think I've found it! The chips were good and salty, and the soup was so authentic I had to cut the chicken on a plate and put it... More

We've been coming here for years both for eat-in and take out. The fresh table-side guacamole is incredible. We've had a majority of the menu but my favorites are the tamales and cecina tacos...great quality meat; no grizzle. My husband gets the Burro el Dorado every time and it does not disappoint!

The premium Margareta was so sweet I had to ask for 7 up to mix in it. It was still nasty and sweet. The steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas wasn't seasoned with anything, was so blah that I used salt and I don't salt anything! The servers were nice but not worth going bk when we have better, closer to... More

I guess Mexican food is all the same - or is it? This food is very good but when you live in California and go to the Mexican hole in the walls where no one speaks English - well that food is not Americanized. Example: in Lompoc there is a hole in the wall with El Pastor. It was made... More
