There is a restaurant section as well if you want to be slightly more formal but still relaxed. There is a set menu and also... More

Met some friends here for dinner on a really foggy night. It was lovely to get inside and it was very welcoming with log fires burning. The staff were really friendly. Despite the fact that it's small and cosy inside, the tables are well-spaced and so you're not forced to earwig on other people's conversations. Two of us went for... More

Lovely quaint pub, only popped in for a few pints before Xmas and really liked the atmosphere. Has charm with all the beams etc. Would like to return and have a meal next time.

We had a family lunch for 6. The atmosphere, service and food were all ok. Nothing special. We would go again but not rushing back as nothing was outstanding.

We have been here many times as a family but are sad to report that after many years our meal was just OK, nothing special as it used to be. The beef stronagaoff was tough with no paprika flavour and the lamb shoulder was tasteless. We were not offered any choice of sauces which was considered odd as one meal... More

I simply stopped at the first pub I came across and I am so pleased I found this place. With the Christmas bookings I had already been sent on my way by another pub but not this one. They fitted me in even though I had not booked. I selected a main course plus a beer which were both excellent.... More

They squeezed us in as a last minute booking. Made us feel very welcome in this old country pub. Beams open fire and very friendly atmosphere. The four of us all chose different dishes and all agreed that it was delicious and good portions. We will definitely be back.

Well worth the trip The food here is really high end. The chef PAUL does an outstanding job in a very picturesque pub out in the country. The cuisine is really very very good.
