Once you discover this little gem, you will want to come back to regularly. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the menu is excellent, with a wide choice of well cooked traditional pub grub, although that description doesn't do the place or the chef justice. They are equally welcoming to dog walkers with muddy boots as to families... More

Visited here on a Saturday afternoon with a companion. The bar/restaurant was very empty, but I kind of preferred that it was. The staff during our visit were friendly and sweet. The food was good, not brilliant but good. I had the burger, which was really pretty tasty. I have no complaints what so ever. My colleague had a chicken... More

Fabulous pub grub. Doesn't look it from the outside, but this is one of the best local eateries. Daily specials and a la carte, with a couple of lovely working fireplaces this is a great place to take family, kids, business or work colleagues for great food and drink.

From the outside a text-book country pub look; from the inside a restaurant offering fine dining. This was our first visit here and we were very impressed. The staff were all very friendly, appeared glad of your custom and happy to have a chat and make you feel welcome. The menu sounded delicious and when the food we ordered came... More

Second visit to this pub in a picturesque countryside setting. Far from the seaside yet once again one of the most enjoyable plates of fish and chips I have eaten. The haddock is sublime and the beer batter expertly cooked. Everybody in our group happy with their dishes but as you can guess I'm recommending one dish in particular at... More

My husband and I had a two course supper. The dishes were quite substantial. I think the butterflied sardines coating is too crunchy for my taste, but others might like them better. My belly pork was delicious as was my husband's monk fish. We were too full for desserts. We drank prosecco. It was just what we needed after the... More

We have used this Pub a few times over the last 6 months and the food and service is always very good. The log fires have been great on the cold winter evenings.
