This has become my new favourite Italian restaurant in the area. The food is excellent and the restaurant is classy. White linen table cloths, heavy cutlery, gorgeous presentation on the entrees. And the prices are reasonable for the portions.

our wedding anniversary - noted when we place our reservation- no bread, no follow up from our waitress after the meals were delivered by another member of the staff- food was decent but service left a lot to be desired. We will not be returning.

We have struggled lately to find a good Italian restaurant that was well rounded; could do Pasta, Eggplant, Veal, Meatballs, Sauce well, we seem to always only get one or two of those. Then there is the service, inconsistent is the word that comes to...mind, generally speaking. However, our trip to Incontro A Tavola was exceptional. From first greet to last goodbye the staff was friendly and attentive; everyone. It was noticeable that the same level of service was being had at all the tables. Then, the food came; wow. I had the Short Rib and my wife had the Pasta, Meatballs and Italian Sausage; cooked perfect with amazing flavor. The Burrata app was just as amazing. We will be back!!More

First visit there. We'll be back. Very nice Italian restaurant. Was recommended by a family member who had eaten there before. Very good service. Friendly. The food we had was delicious.

Had a great lunch with relatives. They requested we eat there again! We agree wholeheartedly. Everyone loved what they had and want to come back and try other menu items.

We took our team of 10 to celebrate the year. We were seated fairly quickly but not one person came to our table for 25 minutes. Ok, things can get busy so that’s fine.. but after we ordered drinks it was another 20 minutes to...order appetizers. No meals were yet ordered so that added more time. Finally the meals came. After we finished the meals we sat and sat until finally the plates were cleared and we ordered deserts. Then coffee orders.. and another very long wait. Finally, 2.5 hours later we were ready for the bill.. but no one came. Finally, after we started to get up and get coats on which hit attention the bill arrived. It was unfortunate because the food was delicious. But the long waits at all stages of our meal was very disappointing.More

Incontro A Tavola has been in the Arboretum for a few years, and has steadily improved in food quality since opening. The decor has always been very welcoming; contemporary, open and airy, nicely furnished bar, high top tables and comfy booths. But the food is...the reason for coming. All dishes are well conceived with that comfortable Italian American vibe. But it's the homemade pastas that to me sets this apart from many other good Italian places in the NW burbs. Well worth checking out!More

We wanted a restaurant that wasn’t so bright and more romantic. That wasn’t so loud we couldn’t hear each other. We had not planned to come here but it was what we needed. It was nicely lit, delicious food, and live music. It is kind...of pricey. I believe we used a Groupon. Atmosphere was calm and fun. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. The portions were a good size. We would definitely go back.More

One of our favorite places to go. The food is always excellent and the service is top notch. The menu has lots of choices....always something for everyone, even my picky husband.

Food was okay for the price we paid, however the service was horrendous. Staff needs more training. Servers are gathering nearby the bar chatting about their personal lives. Very annoying when you're trying to have a meal. Management needs to change their attitude towards their...customers.More

There were a couple of tables with kids. One had rather young children, the other was a bit above toddler age. I don't see a problem, there are different seating area, i.e. not in the bar, itself.

There was no dress code. I wore jeans; the couple next to my table were wearing more dressy clothes. Wear what makes you feel comfortable. I would suggest nothing with holes or graphic art.
