Despite the title of my review, I'll go back and hope for better service because the food was THAT good. The Aushak and Mantoo appetizers were incredible - I wished I had ordered Mantoo as an entree. The gulpi (cooked cauliflower in tomato sauce) was also terrific. The waiter failed to bring us soup, which was disappointing, as the Aush-Rishta... More

Wanted something a little different but were wary from previous reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the staff was great. It was a tiny bit smokey but more of a nice fragrance from the kitchen. We ordered the dumplings appetizer and were all jockeying for who got the last one. For dinner my son ordered... More

We came for dinner and had never had Afghan food before. I don't know if all Afghan food is this good, but wow, we were impressed. All the food was well prepared and delicious. Our waiter was wonderful, very prompt and attentive service.

Phenomenal food, smaller portions for the price but a great locally owned spot! The soup is some of the best around and worth ordering on its own.

My boyfriend and I, along with 2 of our friends, went here on a lovely Sunday evening for dinner. Our friends had been here before and raved about the food, so we wanted to try it. The food IS fantastic! I loved every bite. I chose the lentil soup and it was very tasty. The other 3 diners had the... More

I am not certain why this restaurant has such high reviews. The restaurant reeks of smoke (like a poorly ventilated bbq restaurant) and lacks climate control. We were sweating while eating our food which was served at lukewarm temperature. Service was lacking and repeated requests for silverware, water, napkins & plates had to be made. Perhaps the food is better... More

My wife chose the Qorma Sabzee while I had the Kabuli Palau. Both came with soup - I had the Aash while my wife had the lentil - both soups were pretty tasty. The lamb in both entrees was very tender and both main meals were very good although mine could have been hotter. We tried the Firnee for dessert... More

One of the most delicious food I have had in a long long time. I had to give up because my stomach couldn't had more. With every entree ordered, you get a lentil soup and some amazing bread...super soft and fresh. Lentil soup was nice and filling. We had one veg person in our group of three and hence ordered... Very authentic Afghan food. Beef, Chicken & Lamb kabobs were amazing. Restaurant is very small from inside but very busy so prepare to wait before you have the table.

I arrived 1/2 hour before closing & they wer so kind & accommodating. They even gave me soup I didn't order on the house which was so tasty. I had the traditional Afghan dish they recommended & it was wonderful. Ambiance was both cozy & elegant. Definitely worth the visit.
