Right by my house, very nice restaurant so you can have a good time eating out. The food is fresh, and very authentic. A little pricey but would def recommend for tourists.

My friend and I were near Skokie and in the mood for something different. I hopped on TripAdvisor and Kabul House was listed as the best place in Skokie- we agree! Neither of us had ever tried Afghan food, but I'm dying to go back! It was crowded but we lucked out and got a tiny table for two. The... More

Wonderful food and fantastic staff! We went to dinner here with a couple of friends and had an excellent experience! We have tried a variety of middle eastern food in the past, but not had the chance to try Afghan food. We had been missing out! The rice was fantastically flavored as was the lamb. A must have here is... More

Kabul House consistently provides excellent food. Prices are average to above average but the quality of the menu items is worth it.

My colleague and I were in the area doing business, we wanted to try a different type of cuisine so we stopped by Kabul based on their high reviews. We were quickly greeted by the host. He recommended the vegetable platter which included (Spinach sauteed in garlic, onion and spices, Sweet baby pumpkin cooked with honey and onions then topped... More

The kabobs are their signature food. They used to have wonderful baklava, but I don't like their new twist which is adding syrup over it.

I've never been to Kabul but the food at this restaurant tastes amazing. I have had the chicken kabob, which the chicken is moist yet perfectly cooked. They serve this with rice and raisins and again excellent. They provide a local chutney which adds flavor and just the right amount of heat to the dishes. I'm not sure if they... More

Despite the title of my review, I'll go back and hope for better service because the food was THAT good. The Aushak and Mantoo appetizers were incredible - I wished I had ordered Mantoo as an entree. The gulpi (cooked cauliflower in tomato sauce) was also terrific. The waiter failed to bring us soup, which was disappointing, as the Aush-Rishta... More

Wanted something a little different but were wary from previous reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the staff was great. It was a tiny bit smokey but more of a nice fragrance from the kitchen. We ordered the dumplings appetizer and were all jockeying for who got the last one. For dinner my son ordered... More
