I have been to Libertad numerous times and have always enjoyed the food and drinks. Excellent all around. There are very few restaurants that I frequent often, but this is one. It is a great go to place!

When you're bored of the same-o-same-o, Libertad is the place to go. I've been there for a few special occasions (New Years Dinner & sister-in-law's birthday/Valentine's Day), as well as a weekend din-din with my family of 3. If you want to dress pretty & have your taste buds dance, Libertad always has something new and special for all to... More

Very nice decor and atmosphere. Small place with limited seating. Reservations recommended. Limited menu. Everything absolutely delicious.

From the outside, the place is unassuming. In fact, had we not made reservations, we would have thought it was closed. The windows are tinted, so you can't tell the lights are on. The decor is simple--it's a narrow deep room with a bar along the south side and original art on the north side. Also along the north side... More

The food is very very creative and always excellent. If you're a foodie, you'll love it. It is always crowded and LOUD. If you can get a table outside and the weather cooperates, do that so you can have a conversation. Prices have gone up...supply and demand...but it is worth it.

A small but, well worth the trip eatery in Skokie on Lincoln Ave, this place has a Cuban atmosphere. The menu is unique, the drinks are a variation of Mohijos, and the wines unheard of but robust. We went with two other couples. It is noisy, with a small bar and the dining room open to the kitchen. I had... More

Celebrated the New Year at Libertad and was blown away by the food ( as well as great service)! While my wife and I expected their regular menu which is always great, the restaurant was only serving a multi-course tasting menu. I was disappointed until I began the meal. This was fantastic! Even better than the normal menu!!! I only... More

Everything here is good--and if you don't like it, they'll take it back. We liked the calabaza (stuffed squash) the best. Killer tres leeches cake. Caparina very good. Not cheap, but good value given the food quality. Get reservations...we came in just passing by, and were able to sit at the bar, but the place is very crowded.

This place almost makes Skokie destination point! You'll come for the food and you'll stay for the drinks! Lovely atmosphere.

We finally got a false positive from TA, so agreed my son and I. The dishes we had were poorly seasoned, the scallops had no seasoning at all. The squash? Meh, not worth eating when you consider you're taking on calories. The menu! It's a joke. It's 80% drinks and a few desserts, the rest food so the choices are... More
