Took my 5 year old grandson because of the theming and view of airport. Inside pretty cool decorations and elevated view of tarmac and runway are nice. My grandson loved watching the few planes that arrived and departed. Maybe not a great barometer of the...food as I got a salad and he got the kids hot dog. I have to say that was no kiddy dog. It was a quality big hot dog. Was going to give a 3 but probably would not have been totally fair because of our menu choices. Will probably give it another try.More

My daughter and I had to run an errand out in Schaumburg recently and decided to stop for lunch while we were out that way. We weren't sure where to go, so we looked up the "10 best places to eat in Schaumburg" on Trip...Advisor. The place we chose was Pilot Pete's, in a hangar at Schaumburg Airport. We were pleasantly surprised at how cute it was! The food and drinks were delicious. Our waitress told us the portions were large, so we split the loaded tater tots and a delicious salad. It was the perfect amount of food. The atmosphere was fun, as the place was decorated with airplane memorabilia which made it a great place for kids, as well as adults. There was actually an adult birthday party going on while we were there. Glad we checked Trip Advisor!More

One of out all time places to eat. Besides the fact that we are aviation geeks and the ambience is awesome, the food is consistently very good with generous portions at a reasonable price. Their daily and monthly specials are always worth a look. Nice...bar and views of the airport runway and tarmac.More

Took are son for his 26th birthday. He order the lobster nachos. The lobster was ice cold and tasted like fish. He sent it back. They did take it off the bill. Sevice was slow at times. Not a lot a room at the tables.If...you like seating with a bunch of kids this place is for you. Sorry never again.More

My husband wanted to surprise me but I didn't want to go out, so he ordered lunch for me. Prime rib sandwich, garlic mashed and soup! It was amazing, no grizzle and tasted awesome... he got the chicken fingers which were also amazing too but...he did enjoy a couple bites of mine, and wished he ordered whatnot had...More

I had dinner here the other night and once again enjoyed the good food and comfortable, casual atmosphere. Good menu options at mid range prices. Wait staff was attentive but not imposing. Enjoyable evening.

What a unique idea to have a restaurant where you can watch private planes take off and land. The place is filled with airplane memorabilia and is definitely kid friendly. The food was not bad either.

This restaurant gives a birds eye view of Schaumburg Regional Airport. Watch small planes take off & land. Lits of airplane related decor & photos. Daily specials and soups are offered with a nice variety of sandwiches. I had a generous size Greek Salad with...tendor grilled chicken. My boyfriend had chicken finger dinner with horseradish/garlic potatoes. The batter was crispy & chicken moist & hot. The mashed potatoes where nicely seasoned and not over powering. Our beverages were promptly refilled. The noise level rather high. I was pleased with the service much more than a past visit years prior. I'd return again.More

Visiting long term from STL, and we wanted a place that was good, popular, moderately priced and accepted reservations for 12. Very popular place in Schaumburg. Cool vibe and surroundings; kids enjoyed the atmosphere. That's where the positives stop for us. Waited 25 minutes past...the time our reservation was made for (they why make a reservation you ask!); service was very poor and very slow; of the 8 adult meals, 4 of them were incorrect; one they simply completely forgot about (a salmon dish) and it came a whopping 25 minutes after all other food arrived (and they didn't even offer to take it off the bill or discount it); my daughter's chicken wrap was the incorrect wrap. It wasn't what she ordered at all, but we had already waited so long, no one wanted to send anything back. But they still billed us extra for avocado that was supposed to be in the wrap that my daughter ordered, which we never even received because they gave her the wrong sandwich. And when I asked the waitress about it, she said "well, I already put it through to the credit card". I said that was unacceptable as I shouldn't pay for something that wasn't received. She was miffed but another 10 minutes later, her manager got it handled. My sister's salad was incorrect. The "Fire Shrimp" appetizer was bland. My Mac and Cheese was very bland. My niece waited 15 minutes for a side of mayo. Bottom line ... from our one time experience, this place is WAY OVER RATED on TA. We would not return.More
