Brazil Express Grill is a traditional Brazilian Steakhouse, but we offer more affordable prices. We feature unlimited dinner every night including Gourmet salad bar with over 45 hot and cold items; 11 different Brazilian fire-grilled types of meat (Churrasco), plus sweet grilled pineapple; homemade side dishes like mashed potatoes, sweet fried bananas, and our famous cheese bread. Now also open for lunch Monday-Friday, starting at 11:30 AM with new A La Carte Menu, featuring the most popular Brazilian dishes; all within the $10-20 price range. As a family-owned and operated restaurant, we are thrilled to be able to offer healthier foods with the flavors and uniqueness of the Brazilian cuisine for a more reasonable price. My favorite Brazilian Restaurant so far. The food is really good, and the service is amazing. Probably the best cheese bread I’ve ever tried. It’s smaller than the other Brazilian Steakhouses, but the food is tastier.

We pulled up and was like this cant be the place. I looked at my GPS and yes it was the steakhouse I reserved for my fiance birthday dinner I was so embarrassed; But we laughed it off. For the price of the food owner needs to improve the inside and upgrade dining furniture and get bigger and better selection of buffet. Now the food was good the meat started to get salty when they came around the second time. The mash potatoes we still waiting on them the lady never came back we had one spoonful each. For a bill over $100 plus tip for two people was not worth it for us. Very polite workers and once again the food was not bad just the location.

Hi Msterrim8, I apologize it took us so long to respond to your review. We are sorry that you felt deceived but thank you for trying the restaurant anyway. We are happy that you liked the food and please keep in mind you can always request meats with less salt. Unfortunately, we are not located in a prime real estate location, but we are considered a "Suburb's Hidden Gem" instead. As a family-owned business, it is hard to compete with the big corporate $teakhouses. Our goal is to make Brazilian food more popular and because we serve all-you-can-eat meats the price point is not like the average restaurant meal, but still much more affordable compared to a big Brazilian steakhouse. As a couple, we absolutely love the Churrasco experience of Brazilian restaurants like Fogo de Chao and Texas de Brazil. We don’t take our kids due to cost so when we heard about this place that offered the same experience for not quite as expensive, we thought we’d try it.
First the good. Service was good. Attentive servers and gauchos. Food was decent. Meat is well cooked and well seasoned.
The bad? Well, the ambiance just isn’t there. The experience didn’t feel the same. The fresh market table was very, very small with little variety. I love the fresh market table with the big variety of salads and hot dishes. This one was mediocre. The cost wasn’t that much cheaper than the other places. It was still a $200 meal for 4 of us.
The food was good, if you’re wanting this type of food it’s worth eating. But if you are a fan of Fogo de Chao and other places like that, you will be a little disappointed.

The corporate Brazilian Steakhouses may have a few more items and they have for sure fancy and big decorations that give the impression that their salad bar is huge. If you decide to give us another chance in the future, please know that we do have over 45 hot/cold items in our gourmet salad bar. But we do understand that some would prefer the big corporate businesses as opposed to a family-owned business. I am really disappointed. We came in after driving into Illinois for a family weekend getaway for my son's Graduation. First we have never been here and asked how it worked. There was only a drink menu on the table. No actual menu. The waitress was a challenge to understand because it was super loud at the end of the table and she went and chose to be at the end of the table with the kids not on the side with the adults. I asked her how the place worked. She said there's the salad bar and they bring meat to the table. At least that's what we think she said because none of us could hear her well. I asked her how we know the prices and she said it's $50 per person. Still confused because we have never been to a place like this I had no idea what this meat was then she started quickly rambling and getting a little frustrated. I was trying to find out if it would be a problem to eat there since I have a daughter with dietary needs. She absolutely can not eat beef and pork is iffy. Well nope wasn't going to get any answers from her. My daughter got upset and started to do the mom it will be ok thing that teens do when they don't want to be embarrassed for differences. Had I had a menu given to us we would have been able to make a better educated decision for two of the people in our party and been less nervous through the whole thing because we had no idea on costs, choices, and how the whole place worked. I had no idea there were smaller plates with set food we could have chosen from. It was treated as just the meat and salad bar were our choices. Since we were confused and unsure of how things worked we just could not enjoy the different experience or the food. The lovely guys who came around with the food were really nice but by the time you meat them your decision making abilities were already done. In the end I was left with a stressful visit, a 385 dollar check, and a sick kid. The waitress did make herself walk to the end of the table by the adults at the end to see if she can bump up her tip by asking if we were celebrating something special. Really? It was the end game we were leaving and just signing the check. When I told her what we were there for she says oh it's only that. Awesome way to make a special thing like a Masters degree unimportant. I would not have tipped this woman 18 percent but that was already added on for us so we had no choice but to tip her. It was just such a sad visit for us and so disappointing. We could have gone to a nicer place closer to the mall for just a little bit more and I most likely would not be up with a sick kid at 430 am in a hotel room.

Just to preface, I have been to at least 8-10 definitely Brazilian restaurants and eat at a Brazilian restaurant about twice a month. I was traveling, so I decided to try this restaurant since it had good reviews.
The best part of this restaurant is that the meats come out quickly and are seasoned well. The waiters hardly ever check on you though. I was disappointed in the chimchurri sauce which was flavorless. It was just parsley, oil and a tiny amount of garlic. It should have had vinegar and peppers, as well as more garlic. I mentioned it to the staff, but they didn’t seem to know what chimchurri sauce was supposed to taste like. They brought out two types of horseradish, which both were nearly flavorless. The salad bar was very poor in comparison to competitive Brazilian restaurants. Most of the vegetables were complete unseasoned. The only thing I enjoyed was the ceviche. It was disappointing that the soups and hot dishes were not traditional. I was also hoping they’d have Brazilian corn bread, as every other Brazilian restaurant I’ve been to has had.
While this restaurant is slightly less expensive that other Brazilian restaurants, I’d rather wait and go somewhere else. Hopefully this restaurant will work on its service, sauces and authenticity and then it really could be great.

Hi there! I respectfully disagree that our restaurant is not traditional. We prepare and grill our meats over the open flame charcoal grill, the same way as the big chain Brazilian Steakhouses do. About the vegetables and salads being tasteless, I need to say that we do not use food enhancers as we prefer to serve cleaner food, without artificial stuff. Guests can always add a bit of olive oil or salad dressing if they would like. Also, we choose not to serve the Brazilian corn bread or "polenta", however, we offer the delicious cheese bread, which is not bought frozen BTW as other chain Steakhouses do. About the chimichurri sauce, there are different recipes for sure. Overall, we are very happy that you gave us a try, but we understand that you may prefer the fancier Corporate Brazilian Steakhouses over a family owned business. Most of all, thank you for visiting us.

Ok people we took my son and his wife to Texas De Brazil, while everything was perfect and we thought it was the best until we went to Brazil Express Grill. There was 6 adults and two children the age of 2 years old. This place is super great, the service was more than great and the food was unbelievable. We got there at 5:00 PM and left at 7:30 PM, we were not rushed and they still came back with more meat even when we though we would bust. It is a very friendly place, our waiter Valentino and Fernando were extra extra great. When the bill arrived I was surprised that it was cheaper then what I figured it would be (drinks included and dessert to go) the tip was already included and I decided to leave extra for a job well done. I paid and left the resturant and would you believe Fernando came out to inform me that the tip was already included, I told him I knew that and it was for him (even if he had to share it) it was a job well done and we all decided that we will return. We thank you for a great dinner and time we got to spedn together. (It was a Christmas dinner-do not laugh-it is very very hard to get this family together because everone works different hours.) Again thank you very much for a super great meal and a super great day.

If you've been to the chains, Fago de Chao and Texas de Brazil, you know the concept: all you can eat, meat brought to your until you cry uncle, salad bar included.
This is locally-owned and the service is can-do. More potatoes? No problem. Clean meat plate? Yes, Ma'am. Delicious cocktails? YES.
The meats are charred perfectly. If I had one complaint, the chicken and sausage came around more often than the flank steak, sirloin, and filet. I was nearly tapped out when I saw the bacon-wrapped filet for the first time. The garlic filet was amazing.
The salad bar isn't as extensive as the chains. There are 2 soups, rice, prepared salads, beef stroganoff. A vegetarian would not have enough for a meal here. Take those family members elsewhere and come with the carnivores. To me, the salad bar items are a distraction from the main attraction, the MEAT!
Priced about $10 less than the chains, and a few miles from the mall, the place was packed on a Saturday night. Make a reservation.

This is an awesome choice vs the big Brazilian chains. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Once they know your meat preferences they were cooking for me.
Everything was very tasty and fresh.
The salad bar is not the mega bar of the big chains but who goes to these for the salad!!

Our son picked this for his birthday as he wanted a Brazilian Churrasco restaurant but not a large chain. The salad bar didn't seem as extensive as the big chains but the meat offerings and side dishes were very similar.
The big difference was the service - it seemed like all the waitstaff made sure that we had everything we wanted. In addition, the Caipirinha drinks were strong and the second was 50% off!
An added bonus - parking was readily available and only steps away.

I have been to many brasilian restaurants in Chicago, Florida, Rio, SĂŁo Paulo and this place is my favorite outside Brasil. Is not as expensive as the big ones in the area but by far the best. The meats were delicious and perfectly cooked. I would have liked to see more options in the salad bar but definitely not a deal breaker. Will definitely be back for more.
