We have visited the tea rooms many times in the summer but the Sunday roast ( book to save disappointment) was delicious. We love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere and a home from home feel to the dining experience.

Nice pot of tea (+ pot of hot water), good cake, dog friendly (+ free dog treats!), friendly staff and a local WW2 museum attached. Simple, tasteful decor, what a tea shop should be. Short lunch menu looked good (we were there for 11s's).
