The restaurant is located in a neat part of town. Stopped by after a recommendation from a nearby hotel clerk. Atmosphere is fun and could be loud on a live music night. One of my pet peeves is eating at a restaurant and spending more...money than the value of the meal...that's what happened here. I spend $40 on a beer, some pulled pork, and tater tots. IMO, it's overpriced.More
The night we dropped in there was no live music (Bub City has a large stage) but that didn't stop us from have an enjoyable time. We shared the Deluxe Combo platter which had smoked chicken wings, pulled pork, grilled brussels sprouts and waffle fries...- more than enough for three people and quite tasty. Lots of great local beers on tap to try and creative cocktails including the Back Porch Tea (sweet tea vodka, bourbon and lemonade). Service was great (thanks to John) and the prices very fair.More
Always enjoy the LEYE Group of eateries, but this is a Rosemont tourist trap. Very small overpriced BBQ portions with not even one side included. An entire pound of cole slaw at a grocery store costs .99 to $ 1.25 can they at least portion...a small bowl and not a thimble full. Nachos had next to no meat at all on them. Doubt the burger was a 1/2 pound either.First server was so disorganized had to ask for a different server which helped. It is such a lovely atmosphere with good live music. Many reviews point out the same flaws which are such as easy fix so don't understand why this can't be another great LEYE experience like L.Woods or Wildfire.More
This place was #1 BBQ place in Rosemont, so I had to check it out. The staff was less than helpful, I asked to sit at the bar. I didn't realize there were 2, so I sat at the one where 1/2 of the seats...were roped off. There were people standing near the bar drinking and there was a female bartender behind the bar that was obsessed with her phone and not interested in talking with me. She walked around the bar (staring at phone) and said bar's closed. Strike 1.
Go to high tables in bar area, another staff member there bussing tables. Me: "hi, can I sit at one of these tables?" Busboy: "NO, talk to front desk." Strike 2. Why I didn't walk out then, I don't know.
Finally, hit the bar on the other side of the place, bartenders there are nice enough, get a beer, order some food, ribs. Food was tasty, but the portions are small. I ordered a half rack AND an extra side, left hungry. Toast is warm bread, slaw is a shot glass size. Strike 3.
For a place that is trying to put out the country bar vibe, they need to work on midwestern friendliness.
Simple advice: Walk right past this place and go to Park Tavern 2 doors down. Super nice staff, healthy portions for the same prices.More
Great place for lunch and dinner. Nice bar restaurant
Good drink selection, food was very good. Barbecue is very good. Smoked Ribs and pull pork sandwich was good. Would recommend. Place was very busy but they moved people thru rather quickly
Nice lunch stop. Prices are good, food was good. Group of five very happy. Staff were friendly and fun. Great way to start out day before heading down to Chicago. Excellent Bloody Mary's-- spicy but good!
We didn’t know much about this place, but stopped in for dinner while on a work trip. Was pleasantly surprised. Food and service were very good! Prices are reasonable as well. They have a stage but the night we went there was no entertainment. It...looks like a fun place to come on a weekend.More
