We knew we would have a wait as we only had three people and couldn't make a reservation. Saturday night at 7:30 pm and the wait was about 30 minutes. Began the meal with some won ton soup and egg rolls. The soup was really good...the won tons had shrimp in them! The egg rolls were kind of small, greasy... More

Chef Ping is one of the best asian food restaurants in the northwest suburbs! The food is delicious, service is fast and professional. My brother-in-law asked for something he enjoys that is not on the menu and the made it for him and now it's one of his favorite places.

Food was good, portion sizes are fairly large. The service was good as well, very busy on a Friday and Saturday so expect to wait a while. Only down side for me is it's a tad pricey, especially the carry out.

We were there Thursday evening and ordered two appetizers: Jellyfish salad $12.25; Mandarin soy duck $7.95 (see picture provided) ; three dishes: Fish fillet with wood ear $14.95, aged tofu with pork $13.75, mushroom tofu $13.95 plus three bowls of rice =$62.85+tax+tip=$80. The taste is excellent, but volume is so-so for the price. Weekend could be very busy.

Consistently good chinese food is all I need to say. Our party of two tonight ordered the Mongolian Beef, Chef Pings Seafood Combo, and Sauteed Canton Flat Noodles. I'd rate the food on a scale of 1-5, a 5. Service on this visit only a 4. Wait was only five minutes.

We are in Chicago once a year and this restaurant is on our must go to places list. Food is always done nicely, portions are huge (luckily we had a fridge and microwave in our room for leftovers). Prices are good, so is service.

I heard about this place and read the reviews here on TA so we decided to try it. The first indicator of this being a good establishment is that the parking lot was nearly full. Then as we entered a person leaving commented about how good it was. After that the aroma was enticing so this seems very good. I... More

After driving past this suburban eatery over and over, we finally gave it a try. The dishes run a wide range of tastes and regional styles from spicy to mild and exotic to routine. Unlike many such restaraunts, Chef Ping, not only runs a spotless operation, but also concentrates on friendly and professional service. For example, tonight when we decided... More

Chef Ping offers a unique experience when it comes to Chinese food. Come early as this restaurant is crowded during the early evening hours. For a different dish try the shrimp in mango sause...quite tasty and not available anywhere as far as I know

Hands down the best restaurant in Chicago and suburbs for these cuisines. The menu is very extensive with the usual items (e,g, wonton/hot and sour soups; mongolian beef, sweet and sour, noodles, etc) but also a lot of less common items. The food is outstanding (the Peking Duck was excellent). The ambiance casual. The restaurant packed all night (all tables... More
