We thoroughly enjoyed the woodfire Pepperoni Pizza & the Atmosphere was enjoyable. It was at a convenient location, not that far from the Comfort Inn where we stayed overnight.

We love this place! The food is fantastic and the servers are very friendly! They are also so accommodating to people with children. I have 3 year old twins, we can be a tough party, but they always make us feel welcome!

wow. this place is my new favorite restaurant. everything was perfect. good service, flavor of wood cooked food cant be beat. not an overpowering smokey taste, just right. the sausage, mushroom and cheese pizza is the best ive ever had.

Lots of people order and eat the wood fired pizza with good reason but many other interesting appetizers and dinner items on the menu. Very popular place, can wait at certain times for a table, good service, no complaints

Just had a great lunch at Woodfire with my daughter in law and grandson. I started with Chop Shop Cabernet, perfect with pizza. We then shared the Havarti Stuffed Coccoli with marinara sauce appetizer. (Think fried cheese curds!) They were delicious, ooey gooey lumps of...tasty golden cheesy goodness. We followed with a Buffalo Chicken pizza, and a Rosemary Sausage pizza. The crust was crispy without being brittle, it was perfect. The toppings were well seasoned, with a good balance of meat and sauce. We decided to share a creme brûlée for dessert, which was creamy perfection. We’ll definitely be back!More

Woodfire Brick Oven Pizza is very similar in style and design to California Pizza Kitchen. The cleanliness, style and ability to see your food being prepared are all the modern rage. The flavor is outstanding with a wonderful hint of smokey flavor from the wood...fired oven. Delicious.More

we ordered the lobster pizza on gluten free crust. delicious! and very rich. shared a chopped salad that also was well made and filling. I would stop there again if passing by.

Yes the pizza is fantastic, but don't overlook some of the appetizers. The grilled octopus is a must.. tender and tasty. The warm olives... YUM... The wines on tap offer many good options and give you a very generous pour !! It's a bit crowded...and a little noisy but with food and wine this good it should be. Enjoy!More

Two words: Lobster Pizza. Sometimes a particular item on a menu can sound really good, but when you order it, it doesn't measure up. This totally did. So delicious! The flavors of the lobster and the cheese blended perfectly. My daughter's kid pepperoni pizza was...very good and reasonably priced. The calamari was tender and flavorful and about the best I've had in quite awhile. We were traveling from Galena to Chicago area and needed a dinner stop along the way. This is the first time we have ever dined in Rockford, and hopefully not the last!More

We had a party of 5 on a Saturday night late. No pizza was ordered this night but everyone had a great Italian dish. Our friends from out of town where extremely happy with their food. There Italian dishes are excellent and very authentic and...imaginative. Our waitress gave us great service with lots of smiles even though we arrived late and stayed well after closing. My 20 year old son picked this place after I gave him suggestions on where he might like to go close to home. We don't eat out here in Rockford very much because we don't feel they have a lot to choose from in Rockford....Woodfire is the exception. They have a great selection of salads, pastas and of course excellent wood fired pizza. Tonight we got the wedge salad with the balsamic dressing which is a nice change up from the usual Bleu cheese dressing. It comes with bleu cheese crumbles but the dressing is delicious. We also had the fettuccine and the vegetable pizza which were great. My son got the creme brulee and said it was the best dessert he's ever had. Our server was attentive.More
