We wanted to locate a lunch spot convenient to two other couples, one from southern illinois, and one from Madison Wisconsin. We live in the north west suburban area of Chicago so it seemed that Rockford would be somewhat central for us all. Stne Eagle in Hoffman Estates, IL is one of our favorite restaurants and we knew the original... More

I came here for a work meeting once. Loved it! So my husband and I went for lunch this time. He had pork chops. I had the apricot and brie chicken sandwich. Amazing!!! So delicious!

As out-of-state travelers, it felt a little awkward eating here as you could definitely tell that this was mostly frequented by local regulars. My husband very accurately described us as "background characters in an episode of Cheers." hahaha. The service was okay - fairly attentive and polite but nothing to write home about. But the food was amazing! There's a... More

We ate here Thursday afternoon. Wasn't very busy but waitress wasn't very attentive. The couple we were with had a huge pork chop with some sort of glaze on it with mashed potatoes. They really liked it and said they would come again. We had the Italian beef sandwich and requested crispy fries. Apparently they made our sandwich first and... More

Lots of things to look at on the wall and has the opportunity to make you think this place is special. While I ate in the bar no one seemed thrilled I was there but just did there jobs. If you like peel and eat shrimp it's worth the stop. Shrimp is very good. Nice menu with something for everyone.... More

Grom the time we arrived until we left it was first class all the way. The service was good and the food was outstanding and everything met or exceeded our expectations.

Tuesday's are steak night and they've apparently received lots of awards for steak. Prices are 15 percent off but it is a bit misleading as it doesn't apply to all steaks. Had a steak with pineapple glaze. It was tasty and came over rice pilaf, but the pilaf had onions. I'm allergic so that was disappointing, but overall pretty place,... More

Upon arrival, I expected an elegant setting that might be romantic for a couple. When we went inside though, it was decorated with an eclectic mix of cabin and stone. There are random things hung on walls such as wooden planes and animal heads. While they do have good woodfire pizza, I was very confused by the setting.

Been here a number of times. Place has great potential but fails on the food . Given owner's history it is a surprise. Have found to be a bit expensive as well.
