went to dos reales for dinner, food was very good and hot. our waiter kyle was the best waiter that we have ever encounter at eating places. this place is a must.

I came back to Dos Reales after about a year and everything was great. The food was affordable, tasty, came out hot and fast, and the service was excellent. I tried the chimichanga fajita and it was plenty of food - made for a very...filling lunch. My horchata drink was a touch sweet and quite refreshing on a warm day. The three of us in our family tried Dos Reales in January 2019 after moving to Rockford. Mexican food has always been our favorite. Dos Reales is now our biweekly go to when eating out. We’ve tried one other Mexican restaurant near Rockford and the...food here beats anything we’ve tasted in Mexican food- hands down. We order the guacamole, various burritos, enchiladas and refried beans. The portions are large. The salsa is fresh and good. The margaritas are big and the best I’ve had. The service we get is amazing and owner Jose and waitresses now recognize us when we come in. We highly recommend this restaurant.More

My husband and I stopped for lunch. This was his first time eating at Dos Reales, and he was impressed. From the chips/salsa to the Cancun Special (grilled shrimp, scallions on a bed of Mexican rice) he thought it was delicious. I ordered my favorite,...the Guadalajara Special (nachos with shredded chicken on one side, beef on the other, a tamale, and a flauta). Even the lunch portions are huge! In my opinion, this is one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in Northern Illinois!! Great food, great service, great atmosphere!More

When my wife and I get a taste for Mexican Food, we always go to Dos Reales. The Chicke Fajitas are great as well as the cheese enchiladas. Excellent salsa--I also use it on my rice and the fajitas.

This is one of my favorite places to go get Mexican. They are really great with picky eaters. I would have rated a 5 but our waitress was slow last night. We weren't even offered chip and salsa refills like we always are. Also, we...weren't asked if we wanted another drink either. They usually are on top of their game. We were bummed.More

Good food but they try and tush you out of your table. Waitress rushed drinks, rushed food, kept asking us do we need anything and we were jus lt trying to enjoy our short conversation and meal. Food was good but customers want to enjoy.

Food is always great & the servers are excellent. I have picky eaters but they do a good job getting there meals correct. There is often a wandering guitarist playing music. He’s pretty good & entertaining.

waited 10 minutes before someone shoe up to ask what we wanted to drink... this is the only Mexican restaurant that doesn't have a soup... really a poor place with poor food and service, i really rev to go elsewhere

We went as a family (5 people) to Dos Reales, and to be honest, I was unsure what to expect. To my surprise, it was just what I had hoped for!! Authentic, affordable, large portions, fast, and fresh! I ordered the vegetarian fajitas: Grilled mushrooms,...onions, peppers, zucchini slices, tomatoes and corn. Served with refried beans and tortillas! $10.99 There was enough food with this plate alone, but I could not help myself from having some of the freshly prepared guacamole with tortilla chips. My family ordered mostly vegetarian items as well, so I combined all of the leftovers, and ate them for the next two days that I was home! I will definitely visit again when I am in town...thanks!!More
