We really enjoyed this restaurant. I got the yellow curry with chicken and potatoes. Husband got the special combo. We both loved our entrees and the crab rangoon appetizer. Fabulous, and generous portions for leftovers.
This used to be my favorite place to go for Thai for many years. Today was shameful and appalling. I got food poisoning. Yellow curry was terrible not even editable. upon complaining and paying for our meal. We asked to speak with the manager who...proceeded to tell us we were wrong and that it was impossible the food was bad. I asked him to actually try it. I have not been this sick from food in a long time. We will never go back.More
Their food is more sweet than savory, despite the description they put in their menu. We got the tom kha soup, said it was a lemony soup, didn’t taste lemon, just a creamy peanut sauce flavor. My husband got the sweet and sour chicken, super...sweet. I got the Penang curry pork and it really should have been called coconut peanut sauce. Really disappointing. The pot stickers were ok but again, the dipping sauce was super sweet instead of a soy based sauce. The green papaya salad was ok, salted it and it actually tasted better the second day. Overall, this isn’t a great choice if you prefer a more savory taste.More
We have come here a few times (along with their sister location). For some reason, the first time did not meet my expectations, but every other time has! Had the cashew chicken today. It is a little bit different (especially with the pineapple), and that...is great! I loved the sauce, the meat, and the veggies. It really hit the spot. We also had the egg rolls, which were cooked just right (crisp but not too oily). The hot Thai Tea was wonderful too. And the service was very good. Who could ask for more! The prices (especially for lunch) were good too.More
We were three persons who each ordered the lunch specials. They were approximately $8.50 each. I had the lovely chicken, another had the Penang curry with chicken, and another had Thai hut special. I have had the Tom Yum soup at many restaurants and thought...that this was OK at Thai hut but not great. The Lovely Chicken was a slice of barbecued chicken over vegetables and nuts in a sauce served with rice. It had a good flavor. The other people at my table liked
their meals also. I would return to this restaurant but I didn't think that it was as good as many I can eat at in Chicago.More
