Service was excellent! Our server was very friendly and sweet. Never let the glass get half-empty! Checked in several times. Love this place!!!! Why no 5-Star?? For some reason, they are frequently out of beef ribs. I don't eat pork, so I had sides instead. Hope they up the production of the beef ribs. If you don't eat pork, call... More

You know when you walk in a restaurant seventeen years after your last visit, and the first thing that hits your senses are the smell and taste of yesteryear. Now, as a person who's been lucky enough to live around this great country of ours, I have been to and tasted BBQ from all regions, and most places where delicious,... More

I have eaten at Jim's Rib Haven since 1974. In all that time I have NEVER had a bad meal. I think the meat is the real southern smoked barbeque. My brother drools for the Wonderbread spread with griddle grease. The coleslaw is perfect as are the baked beans. But then, everybody knows this.

I think a great deal of there business is take out as the restaurant is nothing to speak of but there ribs are the best anywhere around award winning ribs. As far as handicap accessible I can get around but it's not easy and the restrooms are out. Yes it has parking but very little.

I grew up and lived in the Rock Island area but moved away long ago. I was back in Rock Island for a visit last month and had dinner at Jim's Rib Haven (5/13/2016) for the first time in over 20 years. I had remembered Jim's ribs as the best ever but one knows that memories can become rosier over... More

Picked up a slab of ribs to take home. Ribs were good but not very tender. Sauce kind of vinegary. Coleslaw & green beans very good. Good but not my favorite. Some locals swear by them. I remember the pork sandwich being very good.

Typical bored teenager lacking personality or customer service skills, appeared to rather be at the mall and was doing me a huge favor. Ordered a slab dinner and chicken. Had to wrestle with bbq and dig it out my teeth later. Rather than toss it I slow cooked it in my oven with my favorite sauce and was able to... More

As a new community member I heard nothing but how great this place is. I had the pulled pork and thought is to be average at best and very over priced. Will go back once to to try the ribs before writing it off totally. I do like the atmosphere because it is a BBQ JOINT.

The food was so nasty and it was cold. I will not be eating any of their food ever again. The ribs were tough and dry.. Cudos to whoever made the beans. They were great. But not worth the trip for the meat even if I lived across the street.
