We ordered and picked up our dinner. The pickup line due to recent conditionas was long but moved fairly fast.
We order the Triple Hamburger and the Grilled Chicken guacamole wrap. The wrap was very good and the chicken well prepared and fresh. The hamburger looked and tasted good.
We traveled 11 miles one way o pick up our order and was well worth it.

my dad owns Country School and there is too a bathroom its the door closest to the drive thru on the outside of the building for those who thought other wise. And the chicken is the best ever

I normally go to Country School for the chicken because I love it. I wanted a sandwich tonight So I ordered The chipotle chicken bbq sandwich.... omg. It was delicious. I will definitely order it again - I highly recommend. They definitely did not skimp on the chicken. It was piled on!

I don't know if they don't train the workers well or what is going on here lately. I ordered a shake and at first there was no flavor other than vanilla when I ordered egg nog and it was just like a cup of hard ice cream. I had a friend taste it who hates egg nog and they agreed it was vanilla. I asked them to remake it with some egg not flavoring in it. The second time I got flavored milk that was gross tasting and as thin as milk. If you specialize in ice cream you really should make sure the workers know how to make a shake. I emailed for management to contact me and was blown off and never got a call back so they lost a customer for good and I used to visit often.

Country School has some of the best chicken around. They also offer a wide selection on their menu but Highly recommend the chicken. They do offer Ice Cream for dessert, several flavors to choose from. They also have a drive up for the ones on the go.

We had heard about this restaurant having great chicken so decided to stop there on our way to concert in Rockford. It was not what I'd expected for a restaurant--not even a restroom to wash up before or after eating appeared to be on site. That probably explains why most of the people we saw there were no doubt local and taking their food home with them (drive through or waiting at the tables inside). The chicken was good, but nothing outstanding. They seemed to forget we were there as our order sat for awhile before someone remembered to bring it out to us, even though we were the only ones eating there rather than taking it with us. So we were underwhelmed, no plans to return.

This is by far the best little chicken spot in the area. I drove an extra 15 miles to enjoy the chicken and mashed potatoes.

Stopped at the Country School Restaurant because I had heard a lot about their fried chicken. Well I will have to tell you I wasn't disappointed. I had the 3pc dark dinner (2 thighs and a leg) which came with 2 sides for around $6.50. I got French fries and cole slaw. The chicken and cole slaw were very good and the fries were good but could have been cruncher. They did have free refills on soft drinks. The wait wasn't too long and I would recommend stopping. I think next time I'll get a shake instead of pop.

Very good chicken great coslaw and fries and when we were all done we had an ice cream cone so many flavors to choose from creamy and I don't know how they serve it all up for such a good price

How do they get that brown crunch? How can it be cooked so through and through and still remain so moist. If I could answer these questions, I wouldn’t have to drive miles out of my way to get one of two or three of the finest fried chickens in America. It is amazing and it has been for decades. Go here!

We had the chicken as recommended! Pretty delicious! Crunchy and yummy! Good mac and cheese. The ice cream looked pretty good. They were busy the whole time we were there. We stopped on our way through Illinois.

The chicken is very good and crispy. The slaw is always tasty. We quite often bring the two home for company or take to potlucks.

Really great fried chicken. They have a biggish menu, but the chicken is outstanding. It isn't greasy and it is crunchy. They also have an ice cream bar/cooler, which is fun as well. The staff seems awfully young, but the food was excellent. I recommend it.

Have always had the very best, flavorful, moist chicken from Country School. Love that they have actual REAL ICE CREAM and not fakey ice cream type of frozen 'treat'. Only issue I've ever had is the customer service- kids do not always understand how to treat someone waiting to be served- you shouldn't ignore them, maybe try to acknowledge them & let them know they will be waited on shortly.
