Gathered with daughter and family to send granddaughter off to college. As usual great 2for 1 happy hour for adults. Great food and service. A great atmosphere for friends to gather for good food and fellowship. Never disappointed in food or service.

My first visit & if I were a local I would consider this one of my favs. We started with the blooming onion, then we shared the pork tenderloin sandwich & a buffalo chicken sandwich covered in fries with those signature cheese sauce.

They have the best apps. Great sauces and great food. Friendly wait staff. Might have to wait because it is popular.

Hadn't been to The Abbey to in year after moving away from Quincy in the '80's. My 87 year old mother and I went at 5:00 on a Saturday prior to a Quincy Gems game. Right away as we entered it was very hard to focus coming in from bright sunshine as it was pretty dark inside. I was afraid... More

I have never had a bad meal at the Abbey and it is certainly a local favorite but I do not care for the atmosphere. The restaurant is very dark and almost feels as though you are inside a cave. Not for me. However, if you can get past the darkness, the good is great.

Good choices on the menu. Well-prepared, nicely spiced food. I don't expect a lot of small-town large-menu restaurants but I was very pleasantly surprised. I had broiled shrimp and my teenaged companions had ribeye steak and a hot wings basket. All were enjoyable. Service was cheerfully inept but the friendly atmosphere meant it didn't matter. I would definitely return.

I visited the Abbey this Friday July 1st with my family group of 7. We arrived to the restaurant being very busy but the girls took our name and gave us a waiting Time. The girls were brilliant and did everything they could to get our table quicker and we were sorted 15 minutes earlier than told on sitting we... More

Great appetizers - and the mozzarella sticks are the best I've ever had. Dinner entrees and snack baskets are good, but not outstanding with one of us trying the special rib eye and grilled shrimp and the other a rib basket with fries. Affordable in my opinion - we treated for five, with a few beers and the total bill... More

Very good food - no complaints from anyone in our party. We came in without a reservation and waited for over 30 minutes. One of the guys in our group complained (we were the only people waiting for a table) and he secured 2 tables for 6 of us. As we are walking in, we can see additional seating. :(... More

I really really expected it to be better especially since there was a one hour wait. The appetizers were better than the meals. There was nothing wrong with the food and service, but it wasn't exceptional. There were five of us and we were crammed into a small booth. I have been here twice and felt the same both times.

Thank Jackie M
