A casual Mexican restaurant Los Cabos Cantina & Grill offers a large variety of Mexican cuisine in their lunch menu: Ensaladas, Nachos, Quesadillas, Enchiladas, Fajitas, Taqueria, Burritos, and many other authentic dishes.
After ordering Tacos Guanajuato with Rice and Beans, I was served hot Black Coffee, and free Chips with Salsa. Looking around, it was interesting to see the authentic decorations on the walls, chairs with Spanish words (must be interesting for kids!), many colorful decorations, etc: the whole place looks very cheerful and bright-colored. There are two dining areas in Los Cabos: a large, main one, with booths and tables, and the bar area, where besides a full bar, there are also tables for dining.
The main dish was served, and the waiter suggested, that before using a spicy tomato sauce, I probably should try it first. I think, I shouldn't have tried it at all, because it was just burning hot, and I had to have more coffee before having the meal. Tacos Guanajuato were quite good and tasty. My favorite part of the meal was Rice and Beans: delicious (I even ordered extra to go). Coffee was excellent! The service was very good and attentive, prices are quite moderate: the total with 11% tax came to $18.84.
It's not that often, that I go to Mexican restaurants when in Peoria, but the visit was nice, the meal was very good, the ambiance was informal and friendly. The background, lounge music number of "Proud Mary" ... in Spanish (!) was absolutely fantastic, hilarious and very enjoyable :) The highlight of the day!
Parking is onsite and free. Los Cabos Cantina & Grill is located in the northern part of the city, off Pioneer Pkwy.
Muchas gracias for lunch!

My daughter and I hosted a wedding shower somewhat recently and just really didn’t want to deal with the hassles of preparing food. The guest of honor requested Mexican food so I decided to contact Los Cabos since it was/is my favorite Mexican restaurant. What a smart decision!
The guests raved about the food! Every single item we ordered was absolutely delicious! We went with the Fajita Bar…great choice! We even ordered their homemade Margarita mixes and all we needed to do was provide the glasses, limes and salt. That was a HUGE hit, too, and no work on our part!
They came and set everything up as we were frantically making last minute preparations for the shower. How INCREDIBLE to not worry about the food!! Each dish was piping hot and unbelievably TASTY!!! They were a joy to work with and I so appreciated their hard work in helping to make the shower a huge success.
Gracias por todo, Los Cabos.

Los Cabos is a great Mexican restaurant. They used to have a second location downtown, that didn’t survive the pandemic. Their remaining location provides super fast and friendly service. Salsa and chips are free and delicious and the meals are as good as any in Peoria. Prices are also very reasonable. Many trips have always provided similar results.

It’s really unfortunate that I have to give them a bad review, but they ripped us off of $2.55. If you pay with a credit or debit card, they charge you that for the service fee, but it isn’t on the bill. I called to find out why my bill was higher than what the final transaction stated, and that’s what I was informed. Also, I was told, “There are lots of signs that say you are charged $2.55.” I don’t care how much signage you have, you should orally inform customers of your bs charge. We won’t be going back. You’ve lost loyal customers through your own poor communication. Do better.

Hi there, I’ve talked to you on the phone twice about this recently. Our service charge information is posted at the front door and the the front register. We charge %3.75 of the total amount charged to use a credit card. This is not a hidden charge that we secretly add to your bill. We have had this nominal charge in place since January of 2020 and you can avoid it by simply paying cash. We need to be totally transparent with you; as small business owners, there are very few costs that we can control as exponential inflation has ravaged every single tangible item you see in our restaurant, from the price of meats in your meal, down to the “free” take-out boxes and napkins. This is the direction the industry is going because this is one of the very few controllable costs we have at this point without increasing prices every 3 months or so. If a $2.55 charge for using a credit card for approximately $95 worth of great food with wonderful service in a small business has turned you away from ever returning, we really feel that you should re-evaluate your disclaimed “loyal” customer title. Have a great day and take care!

Had dinner here on Saturday night and it was busy. We did however get a table right away and we're swerved corn chips and salsa.
We ordered the seafood burrito which seemed smaller than we were accustomed to at their downtown restaurant. Smaller in size and quantity of seafood.
We ordered several of their Margherita and noticed that while tasty they offered little in potency. Like we were getting a half shot of tequila with each serving. No wonder they're so inexpensive.
Don't think we'll be back.

Whenever I try a new Mexican place I start with the tacos. I think you can learn all you need to know by a restaurant’s tacos. Well, Los Cabos were awesome. I did steak and grilled chicken. Steak had a couple tough pieces, but was really good. Chicken was awesome. Both come with a hot sauce that is really, really good. This is a great spot, and will be back for sure. Only downgrade was hostess, she was a little disinterested and unfriendly. Only thing that can avoid a one star decrease is the food, and this food did that!

This restaurant is a quaint little place who's looks are very deceiving. You may just walk right by if you don't know what you are looking for. But....I have to say the food is wonderful. I am not sure there is dish that would be bad. The Los Cabos Pineapple Platter is to die for if you like protein and pineapple. The build your own has great options. Very friendly staff.

We moved from the Southwest, where we had great Mexican food, to Peoria, where we discovered no good Mexican food--until we discovered Los Cabos. This is now our favorite restaurant for better Mexican food in Peoria. May not be the Southwest, but if you're looking for a good Mexican restaurant meal, then definitely go to Los Cabos.

Thanks so much Paul! Our family comes from the Southwestern region of Mexico. The flavors are very different depending on the region but we promise that there are definitely some very authentic dishes straight from some of our favorite the street vendors in Guanajuato and Michoacán. 😁 We appreciate your wonderful compliments and your business. There are lots of choices for a quick dinner out but we are honored that you chose us! See you again soon!

My wife and I stopped in for dinner because we had a dining book coupon. Had we not had that, we might have never experienced the GREAT FOOD at this place! The building is in a strip mall, off a parking lot that has another building along with road, so you can't really SEE it from the road...making it easy to drive by.
We were greeted immediately, and seated in a booth by the window. A HUGE bowl of warm chips arrived almost instantly, along with our beers (Negra Modelo in tap). The Salsa arrives in the glass flask, which our waiter poured into a dipping bowl. I've had salsa at many so-called "authentic Mexican" restaurants, but often, all you can taste is tomato and the overwhelming power of raw onion. That is NOT THE CASE here! Their salsa is obviously home-made and EXCELLENT...with enough chili pepper to give it wonderful heat and the predominance of fresh cilantro throughout.
The menu is enough selections to please anyone. Since this was our first visit, I opted for the "El Grande", which gave me One chalupa, one Chile Relleno, one ground beef Enchilada, one Beef Taco, one Burrito served with rice and beans. My wife ordered the Taquitos Mexicanos. This allowed is to taste many things, share in the experience, AND take home enough for another meal the next day.
I'd never had a Chalupa, but when I tasted it, it was LOVE at FIRST BITE! Since coming home, I've read several online recipes for this item, and none included what I assume is their own "secret ingredient". I picked it up with my nose AND my taste buds did a happy dance. Thinking I was wrong, I asked my wife's opinion....and she agreed...."It tastes like it's got XXXX in it"...I won't reveal the secret...you'll have to taste it yourself...I will tell you this...it's NOT something spicy HOT ... but it's RICH and CREAMY and DELICIOUS...
This was our first visit...it will NOT be our last!!!!!

This place overcharged me!
Luckily, I keep my receipts! While checking my billing statements, I noticed the price listed was not what I paid at the restaurant. It said I gave them a 60% tip, when in fact I gave them 20%.
Never going again.

Good Tex-Mex, Good service and great for large groups. Great selection if you are vegetarian. Fresh, crunchy veggies in their fajitas, on top of their nachos and in the taco salad too.
