I have visited this place for lunch many times, but I never been here for dinner. We started with garlic bread and calamari they were very nice, but my entrée was a little disappointing, I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana, even though it looked amazing it was cold all the way through, sent it back for it to come back still... I am surprised at some of the negative reviews. I have eaten here many many times since it opened and have never had a bad experience. The food is always top notch, the Vidalia onion salad dressing is amazing.. The service has always been excellent also. I would have no problem recommending PVII to anyone, in fact I have brought... Some girlfriends and I ate dinner there. None of us had been before. We got there about 5 till 5:00 and it was not yet open. So, note that it does not open till 5:00. Once inside the atmosphere was very nice with a fireplace and an attentive waitress. The menu had several upscale Italian choices, therefore it was a... More

I've been coming to PV2 since it was the original Pontivecchio's. I've always loved the food. Had dinner there last night and was sorry to see it seems to be going downhill. The tablecloth had crumbs and a smear right where my plate would be; it had not been changed between customers. The paint on the walls is peeling where... More

I can't say enough about PVII, this place is fantastic! The waitstaff is friendly and courteous, and the food is outstanding. It's not a "quick" place to grab dinner before hustling to a movie, but if you want to eat some outstanding Italian food and have a conversation with a date, friends, family, etc., this is the place!

It has been a long time since I ate here and they were as good as I remembered. The Lobster Bisque is amazing, the scallops are the best I have had here in central Illinois. They were fresh and tender. The food is excellent. A great place to get good food!

Getting together with friends should always be a fun experience and PV II made it happen. Staff was very personable and our server was on her third day there but seemed like she had been there longer. She was quit attentive and made sure our needs were taken care of. Bravo to her! Everyone enjoyed their food and said the... More

Went for lunch with a group of 13. Several in the group had been here before and recommended this place. Service was slow. It was over an hour from the time we arrived til we got our food. At least 5 people never got what they ordered. Nobody cared to wait another hour for the correct item to be prepared.... More

We decided to try PVII, not expecting anything amazing. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised. The service was good and the food was fantastic! I ordered the salmon - rather nervously , I must admit. I'd ordered menu items other than pasta at Italian places before - only to be very sorry. Not so here. Some of the best... More

I suggested PV II to our church dining club expecting the same experience when it was Ponte Veechio in Sheridan Village. Everyone wanted an Italian experience. We all gathered which was a group of 8 in a nice dining area, not to busy just a handful of people having a feeling that this was going to be a nice dining... More
