Always enjoy my visit to Hay Caramba. Food is always good, margaritas are always tasty. When you do have to wait, you don't have to wait long and if you are at the bar, they even give you a basket of chips and salsa. Nice...touch.More

I needed to get out fir a walk so I drive to Park Ridge,Ill. Easy free parking behind my favorite movie theater, the Pick Wick. I parked and went for a walk. Many of the local restaurants have open air dining. A street ya partially...closed for traffic and several restaurants have tables set up in the street. I continued my walk to Hay Carumba, checked in, gave my cell and they said they would txt me. A couple minutes later , I got my txt. I sat at the bar which is right inside the open air dining . I love the salsa. That makes the meal for me . A mariachi band was playing in the back ground. I ate my chips, salsa and enchiladas. I was great to get out for sobb ng e good food and to see people enjoying themselves safely. EnjoyMore
A good classic Mexican resteraunt run by a family that cares! The guacamole is a must every time we go.
My friends live in Park Ridge and this is their go to Mexican restaurant. The food is great as is the service.
This is a well-established and popular dining spot in downtown Park Ridge. There is street parking but finding a spot is usually not a problem. I would not describe the cuisine as trendy or cutting edge but it is good and consistent. Most regulars have...their favorite dishes. Mine is the black bean soup garnished with shredded cheese and chopped. The meat and fish dishes are good and provide a nice meal. Their variety of margaritas are very good as well. Tableside preparation of guacamole is very nice and fresh. Some outdoor seating is also offered. Prices are moderate. The place is very family friendly.More
First visit - probably last. This is a local family place, which I give them credit for. However, everything about the place sends off “big chain” vibe. Chips were stale. Salsa (cooked and warm variety) was ok. Table-made guacamole was excellent. But did I mention...chips were stale? Chili relenno was limp, bland. Tostada was fresh and tasty. Enchilada was good, but had a store-bought feeling. Beans were excellent. Rice was less than impressive. Couldn’t finish them. Service was very kind and prompt. So - it’s a mixed bag. Next time I’ll find a place more down home and humble.More
The thrill of the evening was made from scratch guacamole made table side: spicy or mild. We did both! Wide menu that pleased the whole family.
Been here multiple times and the food is always delicious and feels healthier than other Mexican restaurants. Portions are decent and pricing is okay but food is very good. Lunch specials are well priced, but they could offer a few selections more on the lunch...menu.More
Tasty Mexican food. Portions are a bit small, but food is always fresh and well prepared. Only disappointment is that they are closed on Sunday and Monday.
Went at the end of the summer. It was very hot and we were sat outside because of a concert in the park that same night(busier than usual). The food was average at best and so was the overall experience. It definitely thrives on being...the only tex mex option in downtown Park RidgeMore
Love the food, service is great! My only complaint is the chips.....they are thick, not tasty, and greasy. I love the salsa, but the chips......yuk. We have had so many meals, I just can’t pick a favorite. Please go there and try whatever sounds good...to you. It will be great!More
One of my favorite Park Ridge restaurants for many years..Tasty, reasonable prices, great service. I LOVE the Horchata and Flan
I have eaten here several times for lunch and the service is quick and the food is delicious. This was very inexpensive for the quality of food and our service has always been quick and efficient. Love going there for lunch.
Nice place just a block away from the car cruise at the library. Service was good. The frozen margarita was really good. Chips and salsa were served before dinner. I like them. We both had taco salads for dinner. Very large and tasty. Would like...to try more choices from the menu but don't get this way very often.More
Stale chips and Salsa not the best part of experience. Margaritas however are tasty with a kick. Had taco salad which was good, but nothing to write home about. Service was ok, but they definitely tried to rush us out despite a half full pitcher...amongst our party. They have a small outdoor seating area. Overall not the worst experience but also not the best for the value.More
