I keep coming back because I have never been disappointed. Seeing these other reviews I wonder if they were submitted by owners of competitive establishments. This place goes far and wide to find great ingredients. hello... sauteed halibut cheeks?! Very friendly staff and they aren't afraid to make something special for you. It's also nice to just sit at the... More

Visiting friends we decided to try Agio again. But alas. Same boring menu as reported the last time. Same boring bread. Is there no innovation, creativity? Feels like the long slow coast on autopilot. Service is friendly, helpful. Kitchen screwed up entree. Wait staff put into terrible position. Luckily did not defend what happened. Improvements can be made. Will they... More

The food was pretty good but the restaurant was loud (spill over from the bar) and not appropriate for a quiet dinner. The service was OK. It was a bit expensive for what it offered.

Food ok service mediocre! Decent food in a very nice setting. Calamari appetizer was bland but huge portion. Typical fried calamari with marinara sauce absolutely plain and nothing special. Followed by the penne pasta & tenderloin with a light cream sauce which was tasty and good sized portion. Everything was fine for us here although we found the service a... More

First time visit for this establishment and it did not disappoint. Visit was early Sunday evening and it was bustling with Father's day families. Started with cocktails and were not rushed thru any of the courses. Remember those days! Bruschetta appetizer that's enough for two, Capresse salad and finished with Grouper dinner. All perfectly presented and delicious. Definitely will return!

We started our meal with hot fresh baked bread, which is always a plus. My wife and I split a Caprese salad. The mozzarella was creamy and tomatoes had a sweet taste to them. For entrees my wife had the Chicken Marsala with pasta. The chicken and Marsala sauce were excellent. The wine sauce did not over power the chicken.... More

For authentic Italian food at reasonable prices with good service, try Agio's Italian Bistro in Palatine. Everything is prepared fresh. The tomato sauce is terrific, and there are always daily specials. Lunch is a great value with many selections and combinations. Tthe atmosphere in the restaurant is delightful, and, in warm weather, there is an enclosed outdoor patio which is... More

We went to Agio's Italian Bistro for the first time today to try their Easter Champagne Brunch. It's an interesting, smaller restaurant, decorated nicely. Based on the number of wine bottles in the floor-to-ceiling rack, imbibers should find whatever they are looking for. We were seated quickly and offered Mimosas or just Champagne to start. The Bloody Marys were $5... More
