Excellent Food & Pizza

Stopped by after a great round of golf. Tenderloins were great and deep dish pizza was delicious, I will definitely be back.

Amazing food!!! Nice a nice clean restaurant.

Always forget to go to this restaurant. Little bit of a distance for us, but the food is very good and professionally prepared. We were part of a larger group and had quite a bit of variety off the menu from pizza to appetizers to salads to seafood to pasta, etc. Every single plate was rated top notch by those in our group. Service was quick. Prices were very fair for the high quality of food that we ordered. Love the happy hour appetizer pricing. Parking available for handicap. Bathrooms very nice. Nice view and beautiful property. Need to get here more often.

Good food but expensive drinks

First time diner and found the atmosphere to be more cafe than golf club, but overall it was nice. The appetizers were ok, but the fried mushrooms were canned stems and pieces instead of whole mushrooms. The fried chicken was very good as was the chicken piccata. Several in my party ordered drinks and were shocked at the prices. For example, martinis are $8 and very small. It was ordered with tangqaray, which is $4 more which the waitress failed to advise. The $12 Martini was more ice than anything, but who puts ice in a martini? A manhattan was charged $2 more because it was a double? Who ordered a double? Also need to mention that the drinking water has a funny taste. Perhaps our waitress was just inexperienced in taking drink orders, but she should know better. We will definitely go back, but skip the canned fried mushrooms and all alcoholic drinks.

We pride ourselves in using only fresh and homemade ingredients including fresh sliced mushrooms for our fried appetizer. We believe they hold less liquid and create a crispier treat. I sincerely apologize for the confusion with the alcoholic beverages at your table and please know that I used those mistakes as a teaching tool for our younger servers. We operate on a private well that draws from a deep aquifer resulting in a different taste than municipal water. My dinner companions & I have tried several items & all have been phenomenal EVERYTIME! The only bad thing about this place is it's tough deciding what to order! Of note, the pizza is outstanding!

Girl's Lunch

Had a get-together with old friends. There were 9 of us and we're a bit loud and crazy, but the waitress was wonderful and even gave us separate checks. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. One lady wanted a alcoholic drink and told the waitress to surprise her. Best drink ever! The setting is beautiful and can't wait to return in Spring.

Best Little Place in Ottawa

We have eaten here very often, and have never been disappointed! First off: best pizza in the entire Illinois Valley. Seriously. Try it! Good service, nice clubhouse atmosphere, good views and great art on the walls. The bar is also a neat place to sit. Bar is fully stocked, and the wines are very good. A satisfying dinner stop, always.

My first time here. Went with friends. I ordered a 14" cheese and mushroom deep dish pizza for $10. The server was adorable. The service wonderful. The atmosphere quiet. The place was clean. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Only issue for me was the A/C a bit too chilly.

First time at Pine Hills

The wife,myself,daughter and son-in-law went here to try it out for the first time last week. The waitress was very friendly, took our drink order,brought them back and took our appetizer order then dinner order. It got very busy in a hurry and the kitchen put up our appetizers after our meal was brought to the table. My daughter got dark meat instead of lite meat on her chicken. The waitress was very apologetic and got the manager to come to our table and also apologized and took my daughters meal off the bill and got a complimentary dessert.. The kitchen had an off night that day: but we will try it again in the future since they were so nice about it.

Favorite casual resturant

We live down the road from Pine Hills. We don't ever golf, but have eaten here many times. We love to come here as a family on Sundays and take advantage of their $10 one topping pizzas. The service is excellent and the food is great. Very nice ambiance if in the mood for a casual dining experience. Can't beat this place for a budget night out.

Great place

This is a must try when you in the area.... trust me. Have the pizza you'll be shocked. Serves alcohol and well the golf course it sits on is pretty nice. Staff and service is wonderful. Will book my next company outing here.

Best food in town

Doesn't matter what you are looking for,they have awesome food. Especially their pizza and steak. We go a couple times a week. Most friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere.

Been many times,though I now plan for a weekend, week nights seem to disappoint as a short staff leads to long waits. We ate in tonight (Friday), plenty of tables available a bit after 6. Attentive wait staff, beer selection was a bit lacking, but offered solid selections.... Good food, good service (tonight). Still will go back
