I had a waffle with two scrambled eggs and about a half dozen sausage links for $13.50. My friend, a regular, suggested this place. Very pleasant, good service, quick food to the table. Somebody was always filling my coffee cup. (They could use larger cups and fill them up less often. Or maybe I just drink too much coffee.) My friend is a regular and I was an out of towner. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I thought it was a bit pricey, but I don't live in Oak Park.

Fluffy pancakes. Eggs prepared as ordered. Fantastic service. This well-managed cafe' is owned by an accountable, respectful person who displays pride of ownership. Nothing is this operation is unsupervised or disrespected. Great food, great service and respect to customers.

What an absolutely amazing hidden gem. We were greeted and seated at the counter when we requested that. The young man that greeted us couldn’t have been more pleasant. I’m not sure if he was a host, Busser, manager or just a friendly regular that they allow behind the counter and I mean this in the beat possible way. This place just has this super cozy local vibe that’s wonderful. The young man got us a half order of biscuits and gravy as a starter even though that’s not really on the menu. Our server Jasmine was a delight. She made great recommendations. Jill got the Mexican skillet and I got the Zorba the Greek. Both were fantastic and came with either pancakes or French toast. We each got one and each preferred our pick to the others. Jasmine set us up with a couple of iced teas for the road. Can’t say enough good things about this place. PS open kitchen and everything was spotless

Great spot in Oak Park. George seated us and we were met by wonderful waitress and another staff member. Food was on point and some of the best service I have had ever.

This establishment has been my breakfast spot for the last 6 years—no more. I sit at the counter all the time—great food and waitresses. But today... at least eight loud-mouth uncouth, foul-mouth, nasty gentlemen seated at a table were so noisy I could not finish my breakfast! I went to pay my bill and talk to George about the actions of the gentleman and his answer should have been " I'll take care of it. Instead, I got "Go sit on the other side" and " What do you want me to do about it ." So, I say to you George, I will not be back. Good food. Great wait staff. Worth a $6 tip.

The food and service was good although it seemed very pricey to me! I got 2 slices of french toast, 3 turkey patties, small cup of fruit, very small cup of coffee I paid $20.

Good food, friendly family style restaurant. Try some of the Greek specialties. Great Solvaki plate -Chicken or Pork with fried potatoes and rice is at the top of my list.

George's is one of those vanishing diner-style restaurants that serves all-day breakfasts, as well as a wide range of other lunch & dinner dishes. I've only eaten there for breakfast so I cannot comment on the lunch & dinner dishes.
As to the breakfast menu, it offers a wide range of egg & griddle options, which are competently prepared. However, I cannot get past the fact that the coffee is also a throwback -- a weak "Columbian" blend rather than a more robust brew. And, George's does not have any option of instead ordering an expresso-based coffee. Sorry, but I want a good cup of Joe to accompany my breakfast. Bad coffee just renders the entire breakfast a disappointment.
Also, I am fairly certain that the syrup served with pancakes, etc is not authentic maple syrup. I'd probably be far more enthusiastic if -- for an "upcharge" -- Georges offered customers the option of ordering a latte (or other expresso-based coffee) and real maple syrup.
Service is prompt and friendly. For those who don't care about my quibbles, they will probably like George's just fine.

So, you are visiting friends or relatives in Oak Park, IL and you stayed overnight on Saturday. Everyone gets up and you decide to go out for breakfast. George's is the place to go. Great breakfast for a reasonable price. Every thing on the menu is great. You cannot go wrong, There is also a huge variety of items to choose. Be prepared to wait because it is really busy on Sunday morning. There is the before church crowd, the after church crowd, the late breakfast crowd, etc. You get the idea. Enjoy your meal!!!

Prompt and friendly service, extensive menu, wonderful food. Our server told us everything on the menu was available all the time. My wife and her mom had the Greek spinach pie with beef and barley and cream of chicken soup respectively. I had the French dip. Excellent!

Great breakfast spot. Huge selections of breakfast items. Samuel Omelet was terrific. Avocado, cheddar, sausage and tomato. Big omelet. Options for hash browns or fresh fruit. My son had the french toast with whipping cream. Very good also. Great coffee. Service is friendly and good. Park on the street, so bring change to feed the meter. $.25 for 15 minutes.

Always busy at mealtimes but worth the wait. Tiny parking lot off alley behind the restaurant and limited street parking with meters, so bring change. A favorite of families with children with good food, plenty of options for kids and reasonable prices.
