With a commitment to farm to table freshness and grass fed meats, this restaurant exudes flavor and creativity. An ever changing simple menu gives wonderful choices including a fabulous hamburger. Lunch, dinner, friends, date night, family are all great. My one suggestion is to sit in the back room if you do not like noise in the evening. It can... More

I ordered the Cobb salad, which was very average. The chicken was pretty bland, and mixed greens would have been nice. My husband ordered the whitefish, which he said was okay, but was a rather small portion. My mother ordered the tuna melt, which was the best of the three meals...heaping mounds of tuna covered with melted cheese over an... More

My daughter & I had dinner here while staying nearby. We began with excellent craft cocktails, split an appetizer salad, and moved on to very well prepared and delicious entrees. Our split appetizer of prosciutto & melon with light salad was served on individual plates and was fresh. My daughter enjoyed duck with spinach, wild rice and a fig sauce... More

They are big on omelettes and benedicts...everything tastes fresh and well-made, coffee great. Noise is a bit of an issue, and very assertive busboy and waitress continuously interrupting our conversation was definitely bothersome (not just leaning in to pour, but interrupting conversation each time with a question - do not come if you want to converse here). They obviously want... More

When you first pull up the outside of the restaurant is so cute! Flowers and love the color of the building. Upon entering you are greeted and seated. The menu has a great variation of dishes. A must is their corn fritters with honey butter to start your meal! Our food was excellent and the server was great! Will definitely... More

We like to go here on a regular basis. It's not fancy but works as an everyday kind of place. The skirt steak is perfection, the chicken is great along with the fish. For lunch I like to order the chopped salad with feta cheese. Monday night is free corkage and Wednesday night is burger night.

Prairie Grass has a couple of dishes I yearn for when we are in Florida [our Summer home]. First is their chicken and second is their white fish. Everything else is good too. The last time we were there a couple of weeks ago the chef seemed to have had a heavy hand with the salt. When asked how everything... More

To begin with if you are fortunate to have Lucia for a server, you'll have a great dining experience. Such a personable, helpful, friendly, and delightful server. Following an awesome l morning at the Chicago Botanical Gardens we came here and enjoyed our lunch immensely. We enjoyed finding old favorites such as egg salad and tuna patty melts on the... More

We were a group of 5 arriving after a long and varied day. Several wanted only and appetizer while others opted for a full entre. The menu choices were wide-ranging and excellent. The servers were attentive but not intrusive and the food was delicious.

Had seen many positive reviews over the years and decided to eat there on Father's Day. The food was very good but not great. I was a little surprised at the Greek influence. To try something different, my wife had the moussaka and I had the homemade lamb sausages. The moussaka was made with braised (rather than ground) lamb which... More
