Good tacos

Our tacos were very good. We ordered the Camaron, Chilango and Chicken Tinga. We also ordered the Guac and chips. There are a variety of salsa that you need to try. Ingredients were all fresh and delicious.

TRULY GREAT TACOS

I wish they had a Taco Madre where I live. I would eat here every week. The tacos are creative and delicious. The salsa bar is incredible. And most importantly, the staff is kind and attentive. I have eaten Mexican food across America and this is one of the best. Try the La Madre’s Tacos, especially the Mayan and the chilango. If you are in Aurora, do not miss this small gem!

Great Lunch

Food ***** Ambiance ** Service **** When you first drive up the look might be a little discouraging but the food was great! We had Burros and Rice bowls both were excellent. The inside is a little rough as well. If ambiance is important to you this is probably not the place for you. If you want good value for good food then this is the place for you.

Terrible/missing food/no answer

Terrible experience, not very friendly , missing 1 kids meal , missing rice and beans for 2 kids meals , the food was cold .. when I tried to call no answer multiple times . Honestly would not recommend. .

If you like to gamble with your food quality and order accuracy, then you've come to the right place! If you enjoy overcooked, soggy, and utterly inedible tacos, then you win again! If you also prefer your horchata without cinnamon and bland tasting, then you're in "luck!" The blandest rice and beans imaginable? They have that too! Once in a very blue moon you'll get half way decent enchiladas or tacos, but they're no tastier than sushi from a gas station. Taco Madre? More like Taco Mierda. No bueno!

Several nice vegan options, and they will customize

It's not much from the outside, sitting in a strip mall in North Aurora. The inside decor is decidedly casual. However, the food is tasty and brought to your table in a very efficient manner. True vegan options are available, but they will customize apparently anything on the menu to make it suitable. The food is a little oily, which is hard to avoid when eating out, but hot and delicious. We thought the portions were a little small when they came out, but after the meal, they are actually just right. Well be returning, for sure.

One of my favorite places

The find the food at Taco Madre to be very good. It is one of my favorite places to stop on my way home from work. The drive through is generally pretty quick. My favorite dish is the Mexican style steak tacos on corn tortillas. The shrimp tacos are also very good.

Small but good

A very small counter order strip mall place. Tight quarters inside. The outdoor patio seems like it had more room. You can also order drive through. They give you a small chips and salsa first. The chips are very salty and seasoned like Doritos. The salsa came out hot. very different but tasted very good. Tacos you can order American or Mexican style and they also have specialty and gourmet tacos, tortas, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas. I went with a shrimp taco that was very good and a grilled steak taco that was fairly good. The 3 shrimp were large and covered with lettuce, pico de gallo, and a slice of avocado all drizzled with a chipolte mayo sauce. Wonderful! The steak was good, not very chewy but not much in the taco. The taste of everything was fresh and good. Looks like they have other locations and hope they are bigger. I will be going and trying other things in the future as the taste is still on my tongue.

Great place for Healthy Mexican food!

This place is so good! I wish it weren't such a long drive from our home. Their food is so fresh! Great tacos, fajitas, carne asada, etc. They have a salsa bar, which was a nice touch. Casual atmosphere with a drive through. Will definitely be back.

First visit, great food, never going back again

We stopped for lunch, and to get a gift card. The lunch part was great. I had the two taco meal, and the tacos were delicious. The rice was good, and the refried beans in the tortilla shell was great. When I asked about a gift card I was told "go on our website". Okay, would that be the website that's not listed on the receipt? The website online that has no mention of gift cards? Your Facebook page that also doesn't mention gift cards and where you don't respond to messages? I know, I'll just get a gift card from a competitor. So you lost me as a customer, plus the person I'm buying the card for will also be dining elsewhere.

Great food.

Fantastic food! Tables in restaurant entirely too close together. They do have two high chairs which I appreciate for my grandchildren. Have gone through the drive through, but live far enough away that it doesn't taste very good by the time we get it home.

So glad to see this place thriving! Its nice to have this option so close to home. I love the taco's and never have had an issue. We usually drive through but sometimes sit inside. Great place!
