My family are brand new to the area and this is the first place we had been to. We were not greeted with a warm welcome, let alone a smile. The chicken sandwiches had grease spewing out of them, along with mushy tomatoes and wilted...lettuce. Two out of the four of us couldn't even take more than one bite of the sandwiches. There were countless flies and gnats swarming our food. And to top it all off, when we tried to politely tell a manager about how bad of serve and food we got, he made a scene about it in front of the entire restaurant. To say the least, we will NEVER be coming back and wouldn't recommend.More

I had lunch here with my daughter. It is casual and has a great simple menu of burgers and Greek food like gyros. The atmosphere was casual and very pleasing. The food was excellent as was the service. Good value, reasonable prices. Will definitely come...back.More

Love coming here! Food is delicious and great location in Uptown Normal. Exposed brick makes a nice looking dining room. Owners are friendly and hands on. Always my first recommendation. Mediterranean and American food with spices from Lebanon. Excellent!

Location and atmosphere are wonderful. The gyro meat is overly salty and there's not enough tzatziki sauce (or tomatoes or onion) in proportion to the meat. Got a "The Rock" salad for takeout and they forgot the tzatziki sauce entirely. The baklava is good...extremely rich.

We were participating in the Miles of Possibility Conference and found this little gem within walking distance of the hotel. What a pleasant surprise. Good healthy food and at a reasonable price. A near perfect blending of the fast food experience with nutritional options.

My fav dish is the gyro supreme. I’ve enjoyed lunch here for years. Never disappointed. Next fav is the Philly cheesesteak.

Staying in the Marriott looking for a place to eat outside on the main shopping street, found our way to The Rock. Order at the counter, fill your drinks from the dispenser and find your way to a table to wait for your food. A...decent selection of salads, Gyros and burgers, not much else. No wine or beer. The University is on hiatus until summer session so not many diners. Food was delivered on plastic and/or styrofoam plates, fetch your own plastic knife and for please. In all not the best experience but I grant them a 3 stars rating since the food itself was good.More

Have come back to the rock a few (maybe 5) times in the past semester. Those gyros, my oh my are they good. SO SO juicy. The hummus? Impeccable. We went there to celebrate my friend's birthday and the owner (or manager?) gave us coupons!...He sat and chatted with us for a min, he was very sweet. I went there just tonight and misunderstood a menu item and placed my order wrong and did not get what i was expecting. I explained my situation to one of the workers and they fixed it, gave me an extra pita bread AND coupons. I am extremely pleased with this restaurant in all aspects.More

Very good sandwiches and humus. This Lebanese family knows what they are doing. Regular late night drinking food is also outstanding. But the gyro was far and away the best I have had in awhile traveling the midwest. Bravo!
