Had never been, until received mailing from here.Kind of didnt know they were a restaurant/bar. Went 5pm on a Friday. People at big bar (they have 2) and eventually others came in for dinner around 6. Delicious food. I had "Play Book" chicken sandwich. Loved the presentation and "big" drafts=great price and a few fun selections along with "regular" offerings. Only downside is come 6pm they crank up the music and dim the lights. Maybe they can hold off a few hours so those trying to talk over dinner dont have to yell. Would go again, maybe earlier in day.

Came in during late night weekday for a couple drinks after work & service was great. Ordered some food and that was awesome! Will definitely come here again to try out other dishes.

Has a good website for information but double check if you make a reservation online. a selection of appetizers are $5 before 8pm. Potatoe Dumpings are good, Buchetta is good and the hamburgers have a nice charcoal taste. enough tvs are around and there is a pool table.

STAY AWAY! This bar needs a police presence all the time.
Security likes to put their hands on guests unprovoked, randomly ask people to leave, and encourage fights. Half the cars in the lot have weapons and management is unable to unwilling to change security personnel or procedures. The owners/ managers could not careless for the safety of guests and weapons are prevalent.

I was told by David A. there was no SMOKING !!!!! They have A Broken NO SMOKING sign outside, BUT STILL There 's ALWAYS a LOSER That has to Smoke a Cigarette EVEN When people are 3 feet away, eating ..... The Waitress did NOTHING until I FINALLY said WHY is this LOSER smoking???? The Smell of 2nd hand SMOKE was SO bad I did Not finish the Food ... I WILL NEVER Go Back .... I WILL NEVER Trust or talk with David A. again ... YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I HATE 2nd Hand Smoke and You tell me about this DUMP ....

Went to this bar to watch UFC, which turned out to be on a pay to view subscription service. Despite the bar being quite empty before a busy Saturday, the team spent ages making sure to find it and get it on for us. Also super friendly and polite, and one of the best pints of Guinness my friend has had in Illinois. 10/10!

Food is delicious!The place is very inviting and spacious. Drinks are very good, especially fishbowl, but a bit pricey. Music on the other hand is mostly European, wish they had more of a variety.

I've been to Play book number of times and it never dissapaints. Service is always friendly food is amazing and weekend nights are packed. During week promos, trivia, and live music are refreshing and fun. Highly recommend. Always showing local sports teams!

Not your typical Sports Bar! Very good food and drinks and lovely setting, with many specials. A fun place to go with your spouse and/or friends!

Good food, good drinks, good service, just a great place, better at night for a late dinner and drinks but also have a fantastic lunch menu as well.
