We visited here when we were staying close by. We went on a Saturday night, we phoned ahead as we wanted to check that we could bring our dog and they said we could if we ate in the bar. When we arrived it was empty. Three of us had the steak pie and it was really good, apparently they... More

We visited The Nelson on the off chance as we were staying local. Really friendly welcome and landlord took time out to talk to us and include some of the local history which was appreciated by us a two strangers wandering in. Food was great and was a huge portion. Warm and comfy pub!!

its been a few years since my last review here but the ownership has since changed but it remains as good under the new management as before. ..luckily the new owner hasn't made any sweeping changes so the quality of food and service remains as before which is high and consistent. The fish and chips may sound expensive but that... More

The Nelson burgers are delicious! Good selection of beers. The owner is very friendly. It's a great country pub, and the perfect place for lunch after a stroll along part of the Worcestershire Way.

Every time we visit The Nelson we are really happy with the food and the beer. The portions are large and the food is really home cooked and tasty. Every meal we have had has been excellent pub food and the brownies are the best ever tasted. Excellent value!

After a good walk through a thunderstorm (my wife is preparing for the Worcester Way walk) we decided to have a meal here and see what occurred. All very nice. I'm often stop at a pub for lunch when out cycling and I stopped here by chance. Lots of pubs serve an OK lunch but the Nelson served what I think was the best pub lunch I can recall for many a year. I ordered a bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich which would have been pretty reasonable just on its... More
