Located off a little off the interstate, Bugsy's is a great stop for travelers. Instead of getting stuck at the usual fast-food restaurants that Mt. Vernon offers, families will love the reasonably-priced and authentic Chicago Dogs. The fries that come with the dogs were made out of locally grown potatoes, and they tasted amazing. The service was quick, and the... More

Chicago-themed. Food was good. Tried the Chicago dog and gyro. Gyro was good but not my favorite. Service was friendly and place was very clean. Note they Only have drinks in a can, bottled water and no ice.

This guy doesn't just sell Vienna Beef hot dogs, he sells the expensive larger and longer ones with the natural casing. If you are s tube steak snob like me, you will love Bugsy's. Just beware, these are White Sox fans so if like the Cubs, be ready to catch Hell in there...

What can you say about hot dogs? Not much. Bugsy's are good, their condiments are quite tasty. They serve gyros and other selections. But their FRIES! Dadgum they are delicious. I always order extra.

It was the last day of our five day jaunt. We left Paducah and headed out of town. We had a pleasant addition to our itinerary - a stop in Mt. Vernon to have lunch with our daughter-in-law. An modification in Sheila’s work schedule allowed the three of us to have a nice, but short, visit while eating at “Bugsy’s... More

Good food with nice service and they do deliver. The food is average and only have canned soda, no fountain drinks. The beef sandwich is very good, the gyro is average. Go to Jimmy James Blue Goose for that.

We loved this stop on our trip. Nice service. Tasty polish sausage. We bought an Italian beef for us all to share and it was so good. The fries were the best part. Prices were right and service was quick. We noticed they also have a drive thru. This is worth the short trip off the interstate.

This is a great old fashioned hot dog stand with ample indoor table space. If you can't find it here, you don't need to eat it! Polish sausage from Maxwell Street and Vienna beef hot dogs along with Italian beef, fries, etc. This certainly is a great place for lunch.

I've enjoyed Nathan's hotdogs at Coney Island, NY, dirty water hotdogs on the streets of Manhatten, and deep fried dogs across the GW Bridge south on River Road in Edgewater, NJ, and many other places in including Chicago and the DQ in Mt. Vernon, and Bugsy's Chicago Dogs is a welcomed treat. Yes, those fries are not the usual frozen... More

Really friendly lady to take your order at the counter. Excellent dogs with good fries. Plenty of seating in a large, clean, sunny dining room. Be careful when leaving Bugsy's - you can only turn right.
